You should all give a round of applause for KP for the great website. I stayed up til about 4:30 downloading audio and pictures. And, as a result of that labor, I have the WIP of the loading music (2 minutes, 6 seconds) along with my new filefront page! yay.

The menu music is located there... or... if you're just a bit more lazy than that...

Load music isnt really a big thing now, but I got inspired and wanted to make something with real radio transmissions... and there you have it.

You forgot the Pakistani ONU Base soccer field on north side, it would look great for extraction.

I'm still debating whether or not I want that thrown in... I dont want armor on the map and for extract, my plan was to extract the pilot back to the Ranger's Base at the airport.
But it IS something for me to think about... I want this to be more infantry oriented, tanks and apc's would be annoying and not terribly true to life, unless this was focusing on the early extraction, which could be a different map entirely ;)

You can add it and make it so they cant get in it. Of course that will cause mass confusion.

All right, had a listen to the loading theme. And I love the sound effects you've thrown in there. The music itself could do with a bit of brushing up, though. It was a bit repetitive, to be honest. A bit more instruments, some drums, some brass, make it more "epic". Have a listen to the Black Hawk Down soundtrack and a lot of Hans Zimmer's stuff for inspiration. :D

Will do. That song wasnt written for the map, its a song I made...Oooh... when I was in my junior year of high school (3 years ago) and Ive always loved it. I didnt want to blow people away, but I wanted something to put the radio transmissions over.

Ill look into working on another song though :) Thanks for the feedback!

PS listen to it every once in a while and see if it doesnt grow in you. I KNOW its repetitive, but the beat is just SO cool....IMHO... :) haha... anyway, yeah, ill work on it

What about an ocean and beach on the side of the map, it would be really cool to fly LB's and BH's there like in the movie.

Hmm missing some things to me, like wheres the K-4 traffic circle? and crash site 1 in the black hawk down movie was inaccurate, protrayed in the movie it crashed in a fountain in a middle of a large intersection. In real life i think it crashed ina narrow street. However both versions of the crash landed on its side which is correct.

Yeah, i recently got a REALLY good picture of wolcotts crash that I am going to use to redo it. Before I was only left with general area and imagination. but the pic I have is realy pretty descriptive. So look for that in the next pic update...

You have a link to a pic of the K-4? otherwise ill look into it...

Ok, so using this picture...

I am working on Wolcotts crash site...

If anyone finds a good Durant crash site photo, let me know.

Found the K4:

I dont plan on putting it in. Its not near any main control points (all east of the bakara market) and would just be pretty much useless statics... unless I think of a good enough reason.

*Bang* shoots people for asking if i've seen the movie:
I have seen the movie a bajillion times (whenever im bored and with a friend who loves it too)
I have read the book twice
The map isnt based off the movie anyway, but i DO use it for city inspiration
I have pics of everything I need (except the k4, but i have that now, and i dont plan on putting it in cuz its not near CP's enough to warrent its inclusion)
I have looked up tons and tons of pictures and all I REALLY need now is a better pic of Durants crash site (REAL, not movie) if thats possible...
Otherwise, im just looking for feedback on the load music, update pics, and anything you think I could do to make it a better map.

:) thanks!

ps *rezzes the people he shot*
