H-AT in 0.6
Ok after playing some very long matches on Kashan(sp) desert ive come to the conclusion that,
The SRAW and Eryx need some sort of zoom be it 4x or 6x, Its very hard to support your squad while in an open area while you are pinned down by a T90 or M1A2 on the far ridge and not be able to the tank in the reticule or sometimes even not see the tank.
Im all for Firing delays as it creates realism aswell as clever game play but instead of a 20seconds firing delay can it be 15 seconds and reload time be added 5 seconds making: Firing Delay 15seconds *Fire* Reload 25seconds
This would make it easier to get a missile to a MBT before it moves behind cover or out of your sight view because 80% of the time i use H-AT im hidden with only a small view space.
Also is it possible to make the 'Launch Tubes' stay visible instead of fading away after been discarded.
Last but not least, If you run the game on low settings the reticule on the H-AT is all fuzzy like the QBZ's used to be, anyway to fix this? maybe make a new reticule?
Input from DEVs would be nice, please discuss.

haha!
well... lol.... that'd be the reason those systems suck irl I guess
Have altered the delay to use and reload delay to 15s. They do have 2x zoom, just not so useful at long ranges.
I think we need to PR'ify SatnNav's Javelin and create a Javelin kit for large maps like Kashan. Don't see that happening for 0.6 tho.

You know what would be cool on Kashan? A Javelin! Or at least a non-wire-guided bizzaro SRAW
Anyway, I do agree that the H-AT needs a little more zoom, at least on Kashan. The long delay before the launcher is ready (which, btw, means that everyone is going to be running around with the thing already out), and the missile warning that tanks get, combined with the 360 commander view for spotting incoming missiles means that long-range missiles are easier to avoid. Yeah, it can still be used as a anti-infantry sniper weapon, but it's very bad at that with the current configuration.

That sounds brilliant eggman, yeah it would be the reason why they suck IRL lol thats why people only use them until the Jav'y came into place.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']haha!

Blargh, while I was typing my post about wanting the Javelin, eggman posted his about putting a Javelin kit in!
I'm not exactly sure what Satnav's Jav is like (does it lock on, or is it like the pseudo-SRAW, and SACLOS?), but it would sure be useful if the real life range and optics were somehow represented.
I just love firing Javelins in America's Army...

Yeah i agree with Outlawz, im all in favour of replacing weapons with better weapons but i don't like just ditching the older ones maybe make another Medium-AT or somthing
And the British L-AT weapon is being phased out for the MBT LAW http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MBT_LAW

We don't condone piracy on these forums, so please...
Buy the game, like everyone else. It's piracy that increases prices on game, ffs, a xbox360 game costs 70-80 euros, WTF?!?!!

The Javelin is the javelin, not a code for the SRAW.
