so nothing from you el viking.
now, having that over with i can get to my suggestion. after a painstaking round on kashan filled with main base camping with A-10s and Tanks pretty much half of the team (including a MOD who will remain nameless) were attacking the MEC main while there were still mec flags in the bunkers and villige.
I propose we add an advanced surface to air missile system in each main base, at least for the 4 well-funded factions (British,MEC,US,PLA) theese would be powerful fairly long range missile systems.
one argument thats bound to come up is
"why can't we use the mobile AA?"
well, a good rule is in BF2 if it can move, someone will use it. you're bound to have some lonewolf get a crewman kit drive off in a tunguska to the edge of the enemies runway, and get hit with a tank shell.
i don't think all AA emplacements should be this "1337" but face it if you're constructing an airbase and you know the enemy has a formidable air force are you going to stick the cheapest AAA in you're airbase with several million dollars worth of hardware in it?
now if it's a village you're holding i can understand a little Vulcan cannon. but come on you're entire operation relies on the equipment stored in that facility.
the mec could have the SA-3
you might remember this from ye olde DC

the US could use (yes i know it is an anti-ballistic missile system) the patriot *flame shield on*
however the patriot is also used against high altitude aircraft so it might fit in but i'm hoping some of you military guys have a better suggestion for a SAM

the PLA could have TOR-M1
(ignore the US-ARMY on the missile)

and if all else fails, just put sandbags around a tunguska or linebacker.

whats great about this is we can deny enemy aircraft this area without using the death sphere. so it opens the door for sabotage
in short, we need bigger guns to protect our gear.
