Note: Do not reply to this post with info your are not 110% sure is correct!
Guide wrote:To request limited kits from the Quartermaster you must be:

Less than 25m from your MAIN BASE CP; for all kits
Less than 2m from a door of a friendly APC; for all kits except of Pilot and Crewman
Less than 3m from a Rally Point of your Squad; for all kits except Pilot, Crewman, H-AT and AA
Less than 3m from a supply crate; for all kits except Pilot and Crewman
At a fresh spawned* Tank, APC, AAV; for Crewman kits
At a fresh spawned* aircraft; for Pilot kits
Not in a vehicle
* Fresh spawned: Didn't had a driver for more than 1 minute.

Please affirm that the following is correct:

-The whole 'fresh' concept is no longer used (double-check this)

-Crewman, pilot (double-check this) and heavy AT kits can be obtained from an APC that is 'in supply' meaning within 100m of a friendly (double-check this) CP

-Crewman can be obtained from a tank, mobile AA vehicle or ammo car (double-check this) in supply, pilot from aircraft in supply

-AA kit is available at rally points

-0.6: All kits except crewman and pilot are available from bunkers and firebases

My draft:
Guide wrote:The following are the places to get limited kits from the Quartermaster:

Infantry kits:

-Main base (less than 25m from a flag)

-Your squad's rally point (except heavy AT)

-APC's

-0.6: Bunkers and firebases

-Supply crates

Vehicle kits:

-Main base (less than 25m from a flag)

-Aircraft in supply (less than 100m from friendly flag) for Pilot kit

-Tank, APC, mobile AA vehicle or ammo car in supply (less than 100m from friendly flag) for Crewman kit

The "fresh" situation is still relevant. Case in point: APCs on Kashan: they start out on gray flags, and allow people to grab crewman kits to move them. H-AT can be obtained from APC in any situation.

I also currently work on a new guide and investigate some of the questions from above. If anyone has tested the RC1 behvior on those go ahead and confirm what you found out. I will post anything I find out here, too.

HAT and AA are always available from APCs

50m from main base flag for kit reqs

Fresh still applies to APCs and such

100m from main base flag for Crewman & Pilot kits (in addition to being at the appropriate vehicle)

Kits cannot be obtained from Support Jeeps or Trucks.

AA is not available at Rally Points (if it is that's a bug).

Can squadleaders and commanders request officer kits from rallypoints and apc's? I have tried in 0.6 beta, but I cant get them. Always have to resapwn on the mainbase. And I cant spawn on bunkers if i'm a SL.

Squad leader can request officer kits only from their own rally points (not other squad's rally points).

I can't remember about the commander but I think he can from any rally point.

Also both can request any kit (officer included) from APCs. Make sure you are requesting next to the doors of the APC because the MEC APC is on the sides instead of the back.

This is true for all conventional armies. For militia and insurgents it changes a little.

The commander can't request an officer kit from anyone's rally. Only the squad members of that rally can request kits from them.

OK, looks like I pretty much had all the rules down save for the fact I did not know the main base request zone had been expanded. I will update the Wiki to look this way (hope you agree my concept is better than the original):
The following are the places to get limited kits from the Quartermaster:

Infantry kits:

-Main base (less than 50m from a flag)

-Your squad's rally point (except heavy AT and AA)

-APC's

-0.6: Bunkers and firebases

-Supply crates

Vehicle kits:

-Main base (less than 50m from a flag)

-Pilot: Aircraft less than 100m from friendly flag or aircraft that had a pilot for less than one minute

-Crewman: Tank, APC or mobile AA vehicle less than 100m from friendly flag or at one of these vehicles that had a driver for less than one minute
Bug alert: I am almost certain you can currently obtain AA from rally points!

On a note of interest, regarding the 'fresh' concept: If a player without the appropriate kit gets in a vehicle does that start the 'fresh' timer?

It looks like this section ( http://guide.realitymod.com/index.php?t ... strictions ) requires a major overhaul as well. Please verify info is correct as I am unsure on this part, especially the three minute limit and AA kit respawn timer. I also need intel on the rules regarding teamkilling preventing you from getting kits.

Draft:
You can only be granted a limited kit once every 3 minutes. Also, if you switch squads mid-game you must wait 2 minutes before being able to access limited kits (to discourage you from joining a squad just to be able to get a kit).

Kits that were in use return to the request pool again after 30 seconds with a few expections: Sniper, Heavy AT and AA kits take 5 minutes to return! It is therefore extremely important to pick up these extra powerful kits from fallen teammates or your team will be lacking them for a long time!

Tip: If a limited kits falls in the hands of an enemy it will not return to the request pool before this enemy drop the kit!

Checked out the rifleman AA for the Brits on AoM last night (0.6 RC1) and you could not obtain it from the RP. Same goes for the crewman and pilot kits.

I need feedback on that last post of mine.
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. ~Voltaire

If you are a serious PR gamer do not put up with the chaotic public server gameplay! There are much betteroptionsavailable. Also, be sure to avoid making these common basic mistakes.

I still need that feedback. I now need it both to be able to update the main guide and for my 'Basic Common Mistakes' guide.

Actually, I am just going to update it with a note it might be incorrect. Be sure to let me know if it is.

PS: The guide is coming along nicely. Unless I suddenly remember something else I am going to start working on the more advanced sections and fill out some of those broken red link sections.
