I dont get it.
first you say youre willing to make a comprehensive guide which noone is allowed to contribute to, just to use.
and the next second you say your looking for help to make this guide happen.
no offense strategist, but whats it gonna be?

He did say that he is open to suggestions and criticism, just not people editing his texts.

Yes, HellDuke, that is exactly right. Would any of you not want the same?

I will make copies of my texts as a countermeasure against vandalism. I also think Eggman can be persuaded into helping me keep the guides clean.

Does anybody know of any tools to make wiki editing easier so you do not have to learn all of the syntax? A full WYSIWYG editor, perhaps?

Er, you do know that mediawiki keeps track of ALL changes to your HOLY COPYRIGHT ME articles, so you don't actually have to keep your own copies (unless whoever is running the wiki purges histories on you).

avoid teamkilling back smacktards unless to prevent them from ruining the game further by for example misusing important vehicles.
really like that part :P

maybe you should add something about that if you join a (infantry) squad you should always stick to them. keep talking to SL and ask what he/she needs.
think this is a part thats done wrong often. most ppl simply join a squad, spawn in homebase and take a tank while inf squad....

better way is to join squad, talk to SL what he needs, and if you like that, spawn on him. if not, change squad.

A bit off topic....
Is the word "wanker" just an Australian/British term?

Well at least I see your ability to recognize mistakes and admit them. That is something many people lack. (Especially when writing on the internet) I have my own little guide in the works for 0.6 which should act as a primer for vBF2 players coming to have a look at PR. If you find anything useful in it once it is done feel free to integrate any aspects.

I try to make this guide as easy to digest as possible with the ressources that make sense to invest in it. It's not meant to be comprehensive but rather to act as a helping hand for the first few hours of playing with additional info for those who decide to come back after that and pick up more help on "advanced" subjects.

Got most of the essential part written but it still needs to be supplemented with a few more graphics and then iteratively refined for ease of use.

Offtopic, but PDF stands for Portable Document Format, therefore saying "PDF format" is like saying "PIN number."

Now, carry on.

I forgot my PIN number for the ATM Machine.

But semi-on topic:

Is it an exploit or a tactic ?

Spawn SL as pilot, take a ride from carrier to City on Jabal, bail out, have squad spawn on you and CO drop supplies in suburbs E of city.

Occupy and hold city to prevent MEC from starting cap squence.

Far out scenario: CO resigns, joins your squad, spawns on RP which you made after getting Officer kit from crate. CO gets elected CO again, spawns truck, fire base ....etc ......and MEC have not progressed past the Factory yet and USMC has taken up to Dam w/ little or no resistance.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

i doubt that the "far out scenarrio" would work, but i think thats more a tactic than guide.

Wont work:
1.) MEC would be too fast, when it comes to capturing Factory and City
2.)Two amphibious APCs
3.) Route going from MEC main straight to West Beach, where, if Im correct, MEC does the same - holds West, so other squads capture Dam and Bridge, while USMC cant cap shit with East being their only captured flag.
