What Can Be Done About Hackers?
When a bot advertises a hacking site on the PR forums and people complain about obvious hackers in-game without being able to do anything about it I am wondering if the developers can do anything about it? Are there programs that can automatically detect them and ban them? Does it need servers to be able to plan better against these cheaters?
I did post once about this and I got the reply that it can be quite difficult but that was just a thread reply. So what can be done that is effective and stops them dead in their tracks? Having PR filled with these people in the future doesn't particularly fill me with joy.

As long as your computer connects to theirs, the data can be manipulated and the game can be hacked. If one authorized user or system can access and change data, so can an un-authorized one.
Other than disconnecting your computer from the net, there is no way to prevent hacking. You can catch them, but you can't prevent it. Even "secure" government systems are hacked, which is why the highest systems are not linked to the net at all; they're a closed system but once inside that system you can hack it.
As long as there is ego and low self esteem, there will be hackers.

why are you asking? you sound awfully suspicious...
nah, it's called PB, and yes it can detect hacks automatically and BAN them from every server on the PB Mastalist.

If you are reading this dont stop, cause if you do, I'll kick you in the balls.

I used to play Delta Force BHD and on one single gaming night, we banned like 10 hackers coming into the server (since it was populated)
And on public servers, you started pwning them and you were accused of hacking
Mostly, becuase its the hacker friendly game.
PB doesnt support, community make their own anticheat software, which protects only to a certain point and the fact, that you dont have to buy the game to play online (read: log in without creating an account and needing a cd-key), makes it really hard to recognize a skilled player from a cheater...
