Lower spawntime!

Umm, I think the spawn times are fine the way they are and no matter how much information and guides and pointers there are, people are inherently stupid.
The few that actually read the guides BEFORE playing are realtively few and far between. Just take the map description for instance, how many, do you think, actually reads and understands the briefing?

How to solve this, I don't know, but tweaking the spawn times back to a more vanilla setting is quite frankly wrong. imo.

Spawn times was a very effective way that we found to try to encourage better player behavior.

People don't like to stand around doing nothing, so after he knows why he got such a long spawn time, he will try to be more careful. Maybe we need to be better in explaining why he got such a long spawn time.

Not knowing if you can or can't shoot an enemy is a feature that we like and it's something regular soldiers experience every day in most wars like in Afghanistan and Iraq.

If you play this game how it's meant to be played, you wont be affected at all by high spawn times.

* Staying alive is one of the most important aspects in PR

* Every time you die your respawn timer will increase by 1 second (up to a maximum of 1 minute including the 30 sec man-down time) Insurgent respawn timers start at 20 seconds due to the skipped man-down time

* When you capture a control point or destroy an objective your respawn timer will be reduced by 3 seconds

* The following acts lead to a temporary spawn time penalty which increases the spawn time only for the next time you die. This penalty stacks up to 5 minutes in addition to the regular spawn time.
o Teamkill: 15 seconds per TK
o Suicide: 30 seconds
o Civilian killed: 60 seconds per civilian (max. 4 minutes)

I got used to 30 sec spawn, maybe 45 or 60-70, I haven't spawned longer than that. ;)
If your spawn time is 60-90, go to the loo, grab abeer or rethink, what to do next, when you spawn.

Also, db, I'm not sure about that 60 sec penalty for shooting civilians, I know I once shot one and my spawn time was 60 seconds. If the penalty is 60 and regular spawn time is 30, then it should be 30+60=90 /+1x# of death penalties

i think that devs should add a -5 seg. for killing heavy assets like tanks , apcs or bombers .

Ok I understand your point. I just think this is gonna make the game lose alot of good players. And as far as it come to the real world. I think they shoot first and ask later. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is what I did, and I ended up with a penalty.
But ok, I'll stop writing on this thread..seems like I ain't gettin anywhere anyway.
