Darfur Map
Alot of people don't know what is happening in Darfur, and I think a map with 2 new facions only for the map would be good.
The map would be called Darfur and could be in: the jungle, or a village that you have to defend
The teams could either be rebels vs government army or local defense over rebels
I will answer any questions i can

ok i like the idea but heres the problem,
the fighting taking place in darfur right now is between the arab government forces and janjaweed militia and the black rebels in darfur. so in other words, 3 factions that dont exist right now in PR and would have to be made. making a new faction takes ALOT of work, and the PR team is so busy right now with more prominent factions like the us army that this would probly never happen. although i think it would still be awesome if you could put the USMC or brits in a darfur map, sort of like an intervention force like in somalia, but you would still need someone for them to fight, most likely governemt forces. also im pretty sure darfur is nothing but flat desert so that wouldnt make for very exciting maps. this is better left for a community modding project

thanks for the post, but i was thinking if the map was EVER made it would be made so that black rebels are fighting villagers who are defending their city, and this would give some cover and some interesting melle weapon options like a machete or spear

got a point I guessDarkTalon wrote:1. we don't need any more factions
2. it's more actual genocide than war, and i don't think we should interpret genocide as a form of entertainment
I thought it would be more of a lesson of how hard it is not education though

Once again are you going to be making these new factions? Do you know why people give you so much grief. It's because you never think your ideas out. You need new player models, new statics, new weapons, new animations, new maps. One would think that after your last few ideas were torn to shreds you'd catch on. And last but not least POE1 was centered around the Darfur conflict. So it's already been done.

Realistically depicting the genocide in Darfur would not be entertaining, it would be awful and probably offensive. Also, I disagree that anyone needs more education on Darfur. It is quite clear to everyone what is going on, and it is quite clear that every country in the world has dragged their heels in resolving a very clearly wrong situation.
Admittedly this criticism is not constructive, in fact I consider it quite destructive. I don't think that portraying a war that consists mostly of genocide and child soldiers to be at all desirable. Voting for a candidate who will do something about it might be a good start for citizens of all countries.

IMO this thread is the same as the last threads, but with different names.
who would play this other than you? what kind of vehicles would a poor African country and even poorer rebels have? BF2 is a combined arms engine, there is few combined arms battles in Africa.
This thread needs a lock and the OP needs a Warn.

It's not my fault that you don't research any of your ideas, and that it's painfully evident in each of your ideas. You have one of the greatest research tools at your disposal, yet you made the choice not to use it. As for the last comment I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response. Maybe you should do some research on it and get a clue.Godfather wrote:thats a duchebag thing to say, and why do you have a chinese soldier as your avatar, are you a communist
