Ammo check

Post by Raptor »

I was talking with my brother (who is Army infantry) about realism in games and we were talking about how there shouldn't be an ammo indicator (like in PRMM) but there should be another way, other than counting, that you should be able to check how much ammo you have. We were talking and I'm not sure if its possible but maybe having it set so that if you just tap/hit the "R" key (as opposed to holding it for a couple seconds) you pull out the magazine and check to see if you have rounds left. And when you hold the "R" key for say a second and a half, you pull out the magazine, and jam in another one.

Another idea would be one that many soldiers use and add in three or so tracer rounds to the end of the magazine so that when you see those tracer rounds, you know its time to reload.

Just some ideas from the new guy....

Good idea...
Animation like soldier is pulling magazine out and looking inside it...
And then counter XX bullets in clip and 2 clips left...

Or addon like in FA... merging clips ;]
Chuck Norris has counted to infinity. Twice.

If they added merging magazines, my head would explode lol, that would be sweet. I loved that in FireArms, though it seemed like you did it pretty fast in that game (I can't really remember, been quiet a while since I play it).
