yes, i love the fact how we can hear gunshots from a distance, brings alot of realism with those little popping noises

Yeah the most favorite of the changes. Allows us to tell which direction shots are coming from as well as adding a real time ambiance to the game.Petey wrote:yes, i love the fact how we can hear gunshots from a distance, brings alot of realism with those little popping noises

Now, we just need the same for explosions...
HATE leaping out of my skin when a grenade goes off.
I start yelling "GRENADE, GET DOWN!" over VOIP, only to have my squadmembers tell me they watched it through their binoculars, 250m away

Love the sound effects, not hearing distand gunfire has been some of the things I got frustrated about before!
Anthony Lloyd, himself a former soldier in the British army and a Northern Ireland and Gulf War veteran:
"The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."

The audio work on this game is absolutely terrible
EDIT: woops, wrong forums
Nah but seriously. I'd just like to thank sofad for taking me under his wing, he's been such a great mentor and has been instrumental in helping me apply my audio engineering skills to the world of game audio.
Himself and I have put countless hours into making the Project Reality audio experience as realistic and immersive as possible and we really appreciate your kind words
