Delay when entering .50 cal in Jeeps
A small suggestion but one that I think needs to adressed.
The suggestion:
A 3 second delay when entering the mounted machine guns on light jeeps to prevent tactics such as driving like a madman, hitting F2 and jumping on the turret immediately.
Something similar to the tank delay but very short, just enough to make it not be a drive-50 cal-drive away moment
I use this tactic currently, and it feels dirty.... just hoping it changes in the future!

I'll like this suggestion when, and ONLY when we can actually jump on the .50cal instead of jumping in the driver seat THEN switching to the .50cal. Save us a few extra seconds so the delay can't be complained about.

ye i disagree too. Fair enough you should have a gunner in your jeep rather than switching, but unlike the tanks, it wouldnt have that much of an impact on the gameplay, and the guys in the 50 cals arent that hard to kill anyway. We have enough restrictions in the game already (which are all for a good reason) but lets not go overboard. Next there will be a three second delay to leave a vehicle because you have to take your seat belt off.
I agree with all the HAT/Tank time restrictions, but in my opinion this would be getting a little bit anal

I believe the real issue here is the one man "jeepers" that drive around, stop on a dime and switch to the .50 cal position, tearing up a whole squad in the blink of an eye. It's not something that's commonly seen, but it is still sort of a gamey tactic.jayceon515 wrote:This would make landrovers even more useless than they are now. They already offer you no protection from small arms fire and adding a 3 seconds delay for switching seats will make them wheeled coffins 101.
Not to mention, most players don't even use the jeep correctly anyway. Most of the time I see players drive jeeps within close range of the enemy force, only to be surrounded and slaughtered. The proper way to use jeeps IMO is to engage at a distance (especially now considering that the .50s are practically laser accurate), usually to support other friendlies. They're also useful in guarding chokepoints and bobblenecks in defensive roles.
