UK m4

Post by Saint_Patrick »

So just a quick question. in the new version did you guys bother on touching up the UK SF M4, that gun has always struck me as a bit blocky. a little more effort could of gone into it.

yeah, it's a little bit iffy alright. Mainly the animations, the hands glitch through on most parts of the weapon.

P.S. Is there any real difference between the UK and USMC M4s?
The model is the only difference.

ye, its a very old model (was made well before BF2 was released) and one of the first hand weapons we got ingame. Really needs to be redone like soo many of our models have just its low priority where we still have many placeholders to fill still :)

Why you dont use some guns out of the special force addon for them or just the m4 from a usmc spec ops?

Other questions to the devs:

do you know the palace from the sf addon on this city map? Could you implement it in any dessert maps? Maybe basrah and kashan (+ a little town in kashan).

there were other intresting buildings too, like those littele enterable towers or the big radio tower.

because this is a gun the brits really use (the HK guns in SF are only used by the SAS not by common forces)
and because it is not a M-4 but a Diemaco C8/C7 which are licence build M4/M16 but as you can see, they look a bit different

I dont care about brit guns, the brit army isnt intresting at all for me.

They use bad guns in my eyes. But why not give them the sas gun? The sas are special forces and if theiy use this sf gun then its much better than the current model for pr i think.

Because the brits have a really unintresting army in this days, what they do except running behind the us army? They dont have intresting equipment and old weapons, the only intresting brit army part are the green barrets.

I know they are involved in the current war in iraq but they are not powerful enough in europe to be intresting enough, there are much more intresting armys all over (usa, russia, france, china, ger)

if you dont care about the Brit army why are you so interested in the Brit spec ops to have a scar or w/e? Also the C7/C8 isnt really a British gun...

shows just how little you know, stay out of things you dont understand as really, you only make yourself look like a complete fool.

BTW, the SA80 series is hardly old, its a way newer design than the M16 which was first designed in the early 1960s, where the SA80s first came in at around 1985. Get your facts right mate.

Maybe the gun isnt the correct then but the current model ingame looks like a plastic toy gun.

I dont know much about the uk army, and the reason i told you. But the point is the brits are atm a little bad equipped europ army.

The m16 and m4 series are bad too, they have a few construction problems. Much jamming coz of heat and dirt... I never said the 16 is better but the sa80 is **** too...

The other armies i told you are just more intresting in diffrent points not in handguns only:

usa : big and good equiped army with lots of money behind
china: awesome resouces of manpower there
russia: big armie with equip thats used by all ppl around the world
france: nuclear power too, and some intresting specials like the foreign legion etc
germany: modern equipment, best gun fabrications all over world // best high tec stuff like the 120mm cannon for tanks which used by many armies

what does the brits have? They just unpopular, so why all should know their specific loadouts for the sf`s?

The point is the current gun for the brit sf looks like a plastic water pistol. So in my eyes a gun which is already ingame and which in use by the brits (special trained units no common soldiers) maybe better fits like the plsatic gun atm.

In rl there a much more diffrent kinds of guns around there, and its your decision what they use in pr. But the current model dont look good.

Whats with the palace? is there maybe a chance to see it in pr in future?

Ok...

Was just a suggestion for the bad designed model in the brit sf kit without wasting much work/time for a new model.

Maybe you can answer my palace question? Thats off topic but i asked 2 times here :? ??:
