I've suggested that before (the MOAB), hell I even suggested it directly via email to DICE to include in BF2 back before it went gold and before I found out what kind of ******** they are not giving a damn about the community

Im not...Fuck Geneva. If the US was going to fight an army more then 2x the size of their own, They would use wide-area effect weapons..like Napalm, and Fuel Air.

That is a rather disturbing thought. Especially when the US and allies are perfecting percision weapons, the whole point of which is not needing to use these large area weapons.

Perfecting percision weapons is only because our foreign policy for the last about 20 years has only had to deal with militarily inferior countires, countries not even on the same scale as us.

in an apocalyptic WW3 scenario, we'd use nukes, chem weapons, napalm, every goddamn thing. at least i hope we would.

hehe, i hope we actualy develop those laser weapons soon. you know we will soon have a freakin laser beam we can shoot out of a modified ac130 that would melt an enemy tank?

The USAF has been working on an ABL (airborne laser) for a while now. It's mounted on the nose of a 747, and is supposed to be used to destroy first-stage ballistic missiles. I'll see if I can pull something up on it.

Why do people forget my posts?

the 747 ABL links to MDA Link, the Navy's Advanced Capability Electric Systems (ACES) to get US naval ships 16 inch cannons replaced with rail-guns, and documentation on the XM307 ABG nade' machine gun here in the BF2142 thread on how what seems science fiction is a lot closer than most people think

BTW: I think that anti-armor laser mentioned is something the military is planning on putting on the CH-46 Sea Knight (one of the dual-rotor type helos), at least thats what I've heard anyway, dont have a clue what its called though, it was on the History channel when they showed the 747 ABL, XM307, and all that great new high tech weaponry coming out...
