Insurgency RPG's

an important point in my opinion is that the british have much better weapons in general. i've had it a few times now, that after i've spotted a brit (that's not that easy without binoculars), lied down and started taking shots at him, he's able to kill me although i tried to shoot him first, due to the inaccuracy of the insurgent's weapons (now i'm not saying i'm a great shooter or anything, but you get the point). i'm not sure of this, but does the rpg instantly respawn at mosque after somebody holding it dies?

Jester- I don't get what you are asking? Do you want the rpgs nerfed (I hope not), or less of them, or buff up the Brits to *even* things out? Maybe a change to the insurgents in general, or the insurgent gamemode (like four caches at a time instead of three)?
In my opinion, I think that the Brits just need to deal with it, and come up with some new strategies. MAYBE, maybe, reduce the number of rpgs or rockets per rpg.

Personaly i just think the insurgents need less RPGs, mabey only one per cache. Though I have already made other posts to see hwat people prefered from 0.7 insurgency and 0.75... And most prefer 0.75 so Ill live with that.
Im sorry I went to Mars for a second there but im back now and I got T-Shirts for everybody.

For all of you: If you think the insurgents are the ones that are overpowered on Basrah then you are totally wrong. Any decent team/group of squads on brit side can be devastating against insurgents any time. Problem is that people still don't figure out that it isn't exactly the best idea to drive without infantry support through a city full of friendly minded insurgents that have lots of explosives available and then wonder why the hell they get killed in their "supal33t" challenger 2. Winning is the easiest thing as brits and I almost never experience really good insurgent teams on public servers.
Also I like outlawz idea, although the Dev's surely have a reason for not giving the rpg kit a sidearm/rifle.

The insurgents are no way overpowered, at least not in the city.
I was playing on Al basrah brit side with a squad that did proper teamwork. There was one last cache left on the east side of the city near the river. We tried everything to get through but failed miserably always facing a wall of bullets. And what was the rest of our team doing? Sitting at the base due to lack of transport.
I'd like to see vehicles self-destruct after a certain time if theyre left outside base or VCP. Most of the time the brits just take a landy or a truck, drive off and dump it somewhere. Now it's unfair to demand that one of the squad takes the vehicle back to base and finds some other way to come back. Dedicated transport squads? You hardly ever get them except for the helo because SQL's like to have their own squad in control of the vehicle and people just can't be arsed being a dedi transport squad.
Another thing is about the bomb trucks and suicide cars. As far as I know these are hardly ever used against the british army in al basrah simply because they are able to spot them from far away and eliminate them (in fact only bomb trucks exploding and killing many civilians ive read about are only in news regarding baghdad not basrah). They could be prevented from coming into the airbase if there was a scimitar sitting in the parking hall full time, but does any player have the patience for doing nothign but sitting there the whole round?
Unfortunately yes some of this frustration is partly the brit team's fault. So many times you get loners in APC's, scimitars and tanks that youre just tired of thinking "not another loner, god what a waste". Most of the time half of the brit team is sitting in base which eventually results in TK's thanks to frustration.
How does this rant relate to the topic? Well I wouldnt mind the amount of RPG's and suicide cars/trucks now if the brits also had more transports to compensate that.

Phoenix.86,
So the insurgents are not required to have a decent team with squads that do teamwork? Apparently not. I have played on the insurgency side a few times and it is in no way enjoyable because of the lack of teamwork. It's just sitting somewhere, firing away and hopign that you won't die in the process.
In the old 0.7 version at least playing on the british team was enjoyable because you could search around for any of the 10 caches and keep your squad together first encountering only little resistance and as the game progresses it comes to one climatic fight of the one or two caches. Even back then the insurgents had a good chance of winning.

Im reading alot of tripe on this thread.
Al basrah is fine how it is..
I see the brits win fairly often it depends how organised the Insurgents are.
Few things:
*Real civilians throw stones
*Challengers cannot be taken down by 2rpg..... took our crack squad fo rpg inusrgents 5 good hits in weak spots
*the bomb cars are needed to deal with fast moving, un-ied-able targets.
*Any brit with half a brain will blow the bridges from palace effectivly taking out bombcars and truck
*brits have a fantastic airdrop facility
*brits have excessive amounts of armor
*rpg's are used as rifles since there is no other proper ranged weapon in the kit..... molitovs at best can hold enemy off while u rearm
*any smart brits will take down RP's to hinder insurgent defence and buy themselves more time to search/blow up cache
*bombcar drivers can be killed normally within a few shots rendering the vehicle harmless
Theres nothing wrong with al basrah as it is now.

The insurgents are winning 9/10 rounds on albashra currently
It would be great like it was in 0.6.
Here are some suggestions:
* Get rid of the challenger.
* VCP should be capable.
* Give brits more warriors and scimitars
* AK-47 should be better, like it was in 0.5, atleast 0.6.
* There should be another merlin
And then the map would be great Brits could win, but not at the first 30 minutes....
