What I hate in PR 7.5
1 - Suppression effect from you at 1-2m affects reaaly bad
well, this is stupid - I shoot the ground, and nothing around me, but still came "suppressed"
2 - The trees dissapper
and this is stupid - that way I can see any sniper behind the trees (Qwan river)
3 - Heavy trucks
Why I can't drive trucks - this is no comment..

1. https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f225-m ... s-wip.html
2. bf2 poor draw distance, not PR
3. they are needed to build bunkers/firebase, not taxis to ditch somewhere, so restricted the usage reduces that and makes them more for intended use.
EDIT: damn , ninja howitzer beat me to it

Indeed, it is, but there is nothing the PR developers can do about it.GLQ wrote:2 - well that's so unreal ..

It's just the way the engine handles LOD (Level Of Detail) and anything regarding engine is 'hardcoded' (the devs can't touch it without violating EULA).

I think he may mean the terrain sinking around the trees.Antonious_Bloc wrote:The trees disappear?

Qwan river eh?
I'm actually interested in what you mean by the trees disappearing, do you mean at range, what areas specifically on what maps? Whats your graphics card/drivers? Can you get some screenshots of this occurring?

I'd hate PR 7.5 at this moment too.
I happen to like PR .75 though.

It looks to me like your graphics are on UBER low so i think thats a problem that has a lot to do with your crappy PC(no offense).
[R-DEV]DuneHunter - No offense to any female gamers, but never, ever underestimate the amount of havoc a woman can unleash upon innocent unsuspecting electronics.

I had the worst of the worst GFX settings, but still had 100% view distance, and none of the trees disappeared on me.ironcomatose wrote:It looks to me like your graphics are on UBER low so i think thats a problem that has a lot to do with your crappy PC(no offense).

Re: What I hate in PR 7.5
I think all the devs have absorbed a huge amount of moaning and groaning about thousands of issues, and deserve a pat on the back for dealing with all the issues. i mean, it takes a phenomenal amount of work to map(which i only recently began to fathom), and it looks like only three people at most are actually doing that, which means they are supermen.
I mean...think about it, did anyone congradulate the mappers on building the multistory carpark on al basra? NO! How about congradulating the forum admins on protecting the website from the frequent hack attempts! NO! What about all the community modders who busted their butts to build new ideas and consepts and are still doing it right now? of course not, because you just came off the game unsatisfied that you couldnt headshot sombody from the hip from accross the other side of a 4km map! And how about some glory for Noel Tock who came up with the mod, come on, a clap, a nod, a whistle, just give him somthing! *gives Noel a hug, but not in a weird way*
Granted, the bugs and kinks havnt been worked out. sometimes i wonder why new content is being added when bugs havnt been fixed (not a subtle sarcastic jest btw, im just being blatantly obvious and speaking my mind here.)
and there is a shopping list of gameplay things that need to be tweaked to perfection. all we can to is pray to god that he gives all the developers insperation at the right times to keep this ship afloat and hopfully turn it from an ocean-liner to the startrek enterprise
