Tank "Reloader"

Post by BillyBob5134 »

Have a "reloader" to reload the tank rounds adn can look through glass at the rear and sides of the tanks.

Then they would have to model an Inside to all of the tanks.THe realoder would be a realy boring job in the tank so No bad Idea. Maybe just make the loading quicker when there is a .50cla gunner and make it so that when the fifty gunner ducks into the turret that the MG view will go to the CROWs .50 cal

Now this would cause some problems from a gameplay perspective.

First; it would probably be boring as hell to be a loader in PR. Look through a glass at the rear and what more?
Second; it would cause imbalance since both T90 and Type 98 loads automatically (and therefore don't need a player to load their cannons).

Sure, PR is about realism but it's not a tank simulator. If each tank needed three/four people to function properly there wouldn't be that much people left in the team to take care of everything else.

I know that is would not be the best of ideas, as yeah 4 guys to fully crew a tank would mean less infantry and other combat roles. Plus the work that would be involed to model the inside of each tank.

But is it weird if i said that I really wouldn't mind being the loader... if the amimations are realistic yet cool enough,

Not only is that a horrendously complicated job, modeling the interior of a tank, it would require new tank models for the Abrams, T90, and Type 98.

If I had to choose between a proper tank commander and a reloader, I'd choose the commander so that the driver and gunners can concentrate on their jobs.

It would be very boring, and yeah, the imbalance side of things, what happens if your loader needs the toilet! you screwed my friend!

-There's too few soldiers on the ground as it is on the armor maps, we don't need tanks to take up one more guy.

I would rather have some more animations in the cockpit of the Jets/Helos. I don't think that this is really that necessary.

Maybe make the tank reloads faster if someone mounted the 50cal on the top ;) so there would be a double advantage of taking a engineer with you. But I agree to the others here, it will take too many infantry players from the map
