If the flares killed people they landed on, it would be a source of many lol's.

well its hardly likely you'd not endorse it, it being your idea and all... :p

I would agree that adding damage to flares might be interesting, though I doubt it will make that much difference (and may potentially cause people to start using them as offensive weapons. I can just see the Merlins on "attack runs" over basrah now...)

As for automatic deployment you'd have to ask CAS or some such. But personally I think the current system where one has to drop speculative flares while in an area that could have enemy SAMs in works quite well
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

rong i have bean killed by a flear whean i was swiming from a BH
i think it akts like an objeck like a player and if it lands right on top of theam it crusis theam

I would like to have something like that yes, although manual flare deployment must still be possible.

But i think such things are hardcoded.

I think Flares should not been like they are at this moment. The pilot should just a have a number of them like 30. So they have to get back on the airport to get new one. Its more realistic and i also thing, that they should be remaked that they are brighter and that they look more like the original one.
