What map would you choose?

Post by orlandolukas »

If you could have any city (that would fit in the battlefield 2 frame of maps ) what city would you like to see added to the game.

Like chicago or detroit. Plus a brief description as to why.

I say I would like new york city. That way the citizens would attack you if you shot at them.

Hitperson:"well done, treasure it forever."
[R-DEV]Adriaan:"Damned classy Roma, if I may say so."
[R-DEV]Chuc:"Pro man, pro."

[R-MOD]BloodBane611:"Romagnolo, you definitely deserve a LOL award for that."

Canberra.

You would be very hard pressed to find a city center with roads that wide, and with a structure that lends itself to flag capture style play. Because all the cities we get in BF2 et al, have the aspects of city fighting overemphasised (narrow lanes, dead ends, crates), we don't end up with any cities that are widely spaced and well organised. So while we could add New York, or another middle eastern city, it would be the same as city maps we already have, with largely cosmetic differences. Canberra would be tactically different.

If the Argentina community mod.. or mini mod.. is finished.. i will suggest Buenos Aires and Mar del Plata. Both modern - intense concrete jungle battles.. awesome!

My little town of Stanthorpe...would love to shot some of the stupid civies around here. We have a few little Mountains, some nice dense Pine Forests, A nice small city and a army ammo storage area dug into one of the Mountains (full of Guns, Ammo, and some nice Vehicles too.. Pretty much anything you need in a map, just have the Aussies defend the Ammo Storage from the Japs (exactly why it was built)

Plus I could defend my house + car with a freaking MBT
Mad-Mike - Good photo's but why do u have 2 threads that are the same?
[R-CON]ReadMenace - Are you referring to the obvious double-post or the less obvious, high-resolution military photographs thread?

An American suburb would be nice.

Why don't we have any maps on American soil anyway? It's always them invading someone else...

Tokyo!

It'd be sweet to see 32 players load up onto a shinkansen and fly through the city shooting out the windows... or trying to.

And then you could have helos and choppers flying between the tall buildings :P

I think that'll be my next map ;) riiiiiight

It would be awesome though....

The city of Buffalo, New York, perfect for a coastal assault map.
