v0.7 vs. v0.8 music

Post by ArPeeGee »

Note: I cannot seem to find the 'create polls' button. Hm...Anywho, just post. Polls just make seeing the majority easier. :P

So! I'm sure everybody has already noticed the change in loading map music. Some maps still have the old v0.7 music, but others have been replaced. I was curious to know exactly how many people prefer the v0.8 soundtrack over the v0.7 soundtrack.

So, up a poll goes! Tell us what you like over the other! I personally enjoyed the v0.7 soundtrack more, as it was more 'heavy' while the v0.8 soundtrack isn't as...uh...I'm not sure how to explain it in words. :P

Do not get me wrong, I'm not saying the v0.8 is horrible in any way. I personally just like the v0.7 more, but that does not mean I think the v0.8 track is bad. I like both, just v0.7 more. Now get to yer posting and voting!

P.S. I'll miss the Star Wars Cantina track the Jihad cars used to have.

The 0.8 soundtrack is mint, way better than 0.7.

Alkali and PirateX have done some awesome work!

I especially love the Ramiel loading music. :)

I love all the new music, particulary the one on sunset.
However I prefer the old Kashan Desert music to the new jingle. The music in place is used on other maps so it's not like you'll be musically depriving the mod. ;)

Yeah, my favorite. :-)

I wish it was used for more than just Ramiel.

I kinda agree but it's better when each map has a unique tune, since I got my new system, Ramiel loads before the tune drops :(

I must agree that the BF1942 theme made me :) when I first heard it on Kashan.

map loading music is wonderful... really good!

but I miss the old menu music, this one is too complicated and goes on the nerves when just waiting in the browser screen, also its kinda a hard contrast to all the fine and carry-on tunes of the loading screens
the old one was beautifully composed, a simple tune, not that much expression, not nerving

cheers

Definitely.

And the 0.8 menu song is great too, and sounds much more unique and inspiring. But that's just my opinion!

Pirate X uses diff programs from me. I mainly use Sonar 7 with lots of different plugins +VST's.

I'm glad to see so many people like this soundtrack, and obiously we cant make everyone happy  . And if anyone wants to check out my website with my half of the pr music it contains music that didnt make it into 0.8!

I started playing in v0.5, and I believe started there. I also think v0.6 had it, but it was replaced in v0.7.
