Hi!
Im new to this project reality, i downloaded it today.
to be honest, i dont understand anything.

I read all this cool stuff, but when i join a server its just the same as the bf2 i used to play?

can anyone please tell me how i get to play on theese servers where its more organized, were i need to join a squad and ask for a kit and such?

It's a totally different game when you're on a good server and in a good team who use voip.

Check out the list of servers in the forums. I recommend the IGI, T&T and Thors Brigage Servers. The American servers don't get busy until about 5pm our time. Also the Eagle (French) server is OK. In fact all the servers are ok... (mostly)

I wouldn't recommend playing on the 64 player maps (Kashan for e.g) if there is less than 16 per side. They're just too large.

But even so, I don't understand how you can say it's the same as BF2. Try getting into a vehicle for a start! Let alone an enemy one.

Also, have you tried flying on a training server yet?

when i join a server i go to training, then i update the list (no servers comes up if i dont have anything else then ranked and not full crossed up.)

what i mean is that there is nothing diffrent about the game.
for example i join wake island, i choose a kit, and spawn somewere.

nothing diffrent. i dont have to ask for a kit or join a squad?

Project Reality does not use a rank system.

Somethings gone wrong here then, either you haven't launched PR properly or the intall hasn't worked. Sounds like the game seems like BF2 cos it is BF2

you are not running PR properly, WAKE ISLAND dont exist in pr, thats a bf2 map.

Have you actually installed the Mod, or just downloaded it?

The installation of Project Reality is a fickle accomplishment at best (for those new to BF2 mods). I suggest you try uninstalling PR and reinstall following these instructions:

Installation Guide - Project Reality Wiki

After following this guide, attempt to start PR and see what happens. If you have issues getting the mod working post them here with the details of what happening and the community will do it's best to help you solve them.

P.S. The method to uninstall Project Reality is in this guide as well.

You don't HAVE to join a squad but you cannot request any special kits unless you are in a squad and for the most part you won't have any idea of what is going unless you are in a squad. By that I mean where the enemy are, what they have, how many of them there are etc etc... If you just go out alone, most likely you will just get shot after a short period of time. Also some servers require that you join a squad (or you get kicked)

This game is totally different as I am sure you will find out once you start playing properly.

let me guess, you didnt check the "same mod only" box , joined wake and unnoticed you switched to vBF2.

I don't think no one was deliberately trying to be condescending. We are just stating that we can't get an accurate solution unless we know all the facts and are just getting clarification.

yes the problem was that i had crossed of ranked and not crossed of same version.

now i tryed to do that, it came up all theese cool new servers ive never seen before! but my problem is that all are red!

when i clicked on one it said "this server is not running the same mod as you"

so i applyed the "same mods only" filter.

but now! when i try to join a server it sais: you do not have the map wich is in currently rotation on this server"

so what does that mean? what do i do to get it?

* Make sure you have Battlefield 2 installed and patched to 1.41
