Ironsighted special kits
I'm sorry if this is a re-suggestion, i looked at the already suggested thread and could only find this....
Weapons - Ironsights on all Weapons/Including Stationary ones
which isn't exactly what i want.
I've recently started using the iron sight or aim point rifleman kit insted of the ACOG. And i'm really enjoying it. What i don't like is having to go back to the ACOG if i want to use some special kits like Rifleman AT, grenadier, etc. I don't see having either in those kits as an advantage. It's all person preference. So i suggest using a system like the Place Razor Wire/ Sandbags, left or right click. So if you wanted iron sight AT right click, acog left.

Re: Ironsighted special kits
im glad im not the only one thats seen the light of the iron sight kits! lol. especially on a map like ramiel, where the engagement ranges are usually pretty short the aim point comes in very handy. and yeah, id love to see iron sight varients of the light and heavy ATs and Anti aircraft gunner. but i dont know if theres a limit to how many requestable kits there can be.

I too use iron sights or the m68 almost entirely. Its much better for close in situations, and with the new scope in time in .8 quicker to engage targets. I love the Grenadier kit but wish there wasn't an Acog on it. I like you're idea and certainly hope it gets considered.

I love the ACOG no matter the distance. If they're close I just shoot without sighting it. The iron sights just obstruct your view in CQC. Center the screen and shoot.

I prefer the ACOG because of the versatility, but I would like the choice of irons as well, for those CQB times.
BUT iirc, this has been talked about and rejected for now because it would require re-importing the models

unless i going for sure to some CQC fight i will take ACOG any other time, i just dont see it usefull unless 25-35 feet away that he just cant duck behind something/other side of a hill but if possible its still good idea, but it also going to go the other side i think or it wont be fair...[HAT with ACOG scoped weapon

Ok, lets not turn this into a I use ACOG all the time or I use irons all the time because frankly, we dont care what you use.
heh Ok, thats not true
But still, keep it on the actual topic, as its actually a legit idea. Would mean 2x the kits would need to be in the python, but I guess it might be possible. I wouldnt mind it, its a small thing but could be useful given the variation in maps there are.

Re: Ironsighted special kits
Devs should zoom the irons alittle bit so iron sights also can engage at longer ranges, remember our field of view is larger in reality, monitors are simply to small, and so are the iron sights in 0.8

Id like to see such a feature too. Medics are needed the most in close quarter maps, where they engage as well, and that does not keep the from healing, I dont see why an ACOG would keep them from healing in EJOD.

Re: Ironsighted special kits
i have an addition on how to do this.
you know when u can shout go, go,go/fall back, is it possible to have rifleman AT/Ironsights(AIMPOINT on us army and forthcoming community mods)
is this setup possible?
-------
i still want the unlimited its to have the setup of today, as medics cant be requested or have a unlockable gun mecics should keep the ironsight/aimpoint non-zoom.
officers may request their kits so maybe they too can have a solution like this?

Anyway, this should only be applied to kits that already have ACOG by default, they gave some kits Ironsights for balance reasons.

What do you think 0.85 is for? They've just released the encrypted changelog of the first test build, so there's plenty of time to re-import those models if they feel like doing it.Dr2B Rudd wrote:I prefer the ACOG because of the versatility, but I would like the choice of irons as well, for those CQB times.

Re: Ironsighted special kits
I think this is an excellent idea, if possible - simple and realistic (since IRL soldiers can probably select their own rifle configuration).
