Sounds good to me mate

sounds like you got it down tbh, would be a pleasure to join your squad

sounds like your squaddies could do with being more careful, not your fault though

you did better than many many squadleaders. you actually made it back to base alive, instead of taking the easy route and getting yourself killed just so you could respawn. you did good. you squad and alot of your team sounded like idiots though.

Sounds like you had a squad of morons. I tell ya if I were in your squad I'd have been thiking "finally one who knows what to do so I don't have to jump in."

I love it when everyone leaves and suddenly I'm SL by default. "Just let me get the Officer kit"

Squaddies that don't listen are epic fail. I think you've mastered the bit thats so hard about leading. You knew what you wanted to do and were able to make decisions based on a changing situation. I love trying to lead a squad but usually I lag and don't know what to say. Cheers to you for at least being effective.

I think its very rare to get good squad with random ppl. Actually you have no clue whos that guy next to you, it may be 12 y old kid or 33y old game fanatic like me  So it practical not to take things personal if things go wrong, you cant teach ppl all things with one round. Just keep your orders simple and let others know what you plan. Its up to them how they will react.
Some ppl dont tolerate any failure, its their problem not yours. Usually I even dont mind if smb leaves my squad, I just keep doing my best, until I reach my goal. Theres never too many squad leaders so keep practicing and you will get better and better. I think being a squad leader is very good for practicing leadership, it even may be useful IRL.

You did good, you just have to remember, you playing with random people. Most of them have never played with each other before. You tried to split into fireteams and in most pub squads fails. Overall very nice job! :D
