- Project Reality mIRC -

Post by AiRfOrCe »

Hey guys,

Your bud AiRfOrCe here, telling YOU to get on mIRC on your free time. Our Gamesurge channel is #projectreality. It's fairly empty right now (who am I joking, it's TOTALLY empty), and it would be nice to get some guys up in here. Would be great to chat with everybody and meet new members of the community. We have over 120 people in the tournament - that's a pretty decently sized community if you ask me. Hop on in next time you get a chance - I'm going to try to be on mIRC more often.

Over and out! 8)

Heh, never seen you on there, airforce. I'll set you up with some ops when I see you.

It'd be great to have them fill up - it really is a great way to get people together to play with you, particularly if you're looking for other people who want to play as a team.

If you use Firefox, I use an extension called Chatzilla - its pretty good.

Just search for it in the extensions.

[PR]Fullforce: you simply point the patented Spawn Raper 5000™ at any base, cappable or uncappable, and the enemies there will be pummeled into submission with constant attacks from enemies they can't see or attack.

sasquatch: it's very slow on the prmm servers today :/
[PR]Wolfmaster: Fullforce, where do you buy that Spawn Raper 5000?
[PR]Fullforce: does not come with accesories. not suitable for noobs under any age. RRP £10000.

Why the 'woohoo' Jester? Did Fullforce let you test his SpawnRaper 5000?

Which client is best?
Back when mIRC was still freeware I used that and liked it a lot. Since then I've managed to forget everything about IRC

Got on the Quakenet PR channel using Xchat but I'm not sure I like it yet.

So, any special preferences you have when it comes to selecting an IRC client?

trillian
xchat

I know E-Gor can mention a few others.

Chatzilla is one of the best and most convenient ones I know of. I use Gaim at the moment, because it does IRC, MSN, gtalk, and several other messenger protocols all in one program. It's a lot better than 3 separate ones (although certain parts of support for irc are a bit dodgy). Trillian is similar, afaik.
