[Crewman] signal smoke

Post by arjan »

Short story:
Today i was on Kashan with an m1a2 Abrams, we got shot and had to bail out.
Then we requested an pickup. Only thing was that the chopper pilot flew past us. than came back to finnaly get us, he told me he couldnt see us.

Suggestion:

* Knife
* Assault Rifle with Iron Sights (2+1 magazines)
* Smoke Grenade x 1
* Signal Smoke x 1(Red)
* Binoculars
* Field Dressing x 1

Would give the crewmans a good chance to get a LZ up.

I agree. You could also replace the normal smoke with the signal.

Nice idea, would say just add it rather than replace however as the normal smoke is helpful for getting away from whatever blew you up.

I dont know about anyone else but I would LOVE to have a red flare gun!
That would be very useful in directing choppers to you if you dont have coloured smoke.
Also great to signal a several squad attack on a building!

Hmm, could develop that enemy would hide and ambush the chopper. It would be to risky and choppers would easily get wasted.

There is no safe LZ within a battlezone.

Not needed IMO, because if your tank goes down, generally the crew will die aswell. I feel your account of things is quite a chance thing IMO. The crew are either killed in the tank or killed by the tank clearing things up.

Unless it a mbt, tow, or aircraft that killed me. I usually survive losing armor. The alarm sounds, you jump out and watch it catch fire and blow up. Like a pilot, shouldn't we try to get back to base? Or at least signal for supplies to properly arm yourself.

If you're a pilot/crewman for more than oh, 15 mins, how about a nice point (100ish) boost for going back to base and entering a radius around some static?

HELL YES!

Imagine using it to signal an attack between squads, it would be so damn epic.

It would probly work much better than the smoke too. Only when getting the Attention of overflying helis.

It's the pilots call to go in or not.
