* hears people talking from the second floor of a house on Asad
* throws a grenade inside trough the window
* hears people screaming and then laughing
* picks up the officer kit and laughs maniacally

I was there. At one point, I went in for a bayonet charge after giving a demanding Thermis his ammo. Of course, the bayonet charge just barely fails as I get shot while the bayonet is on the way to his body. We both have mumble, and he starts telling me how badly I failed. Of course Thermis, with his reloaded AT4, shoots the guy using my dead body as a coordinate. :)

The resulting conversation between the dead bodies was epic!

And then back in the fields, half the teams were crouching, invisible to everyone. a team mate get knife, and I see his aggressor run to the fence. I shoot him, and then Scot and I t-bagged him, while he was talking back on mumble

I still think my favorite mumble moment by far has been killing a guy and hearing him go "F**K!"

With the new build, my shortcuts page doesn't have any thing there, so I can't make me push to talk...

Today my bro was playing with EngineerIsaac, (you may know him as BF2 modder), and he made that upon clicking the "join game" button, it automatically started ventrilo and put you on his server. Something like that could be used for mumble.

If this works as it should, you could remove voip form the actual game..but there is some lag issues for some people sadly.

Still, just imagine an overdramatic war movie, lets say with Mel Gibson, and he's shot. His enemy comes up to him and says: "FAIL!" Of course he's only wounded, but the enemy's just lying next to him. Then an AT4 round comes in and hits him, he of course is very lucky and is only wounded, and both of them are writhing on the floor, waiting for a medic, but then Mel Gibson goes "Ha!"

:D

Anyways, it really sucks when people don't have it set up properly, and are all speeaking with forced position (ie, to everyone on the channel). Especially when 20 people have the problem :|

I did, and it screwed my sound up a lot, had my settings exactly the same, yet I heard everyone.

How do you obtain a full 24/7 mumble server, or get a channel in the PR mumble server?

Okay, my bad.
All works clear now, it takes a bit longer to connect (few min...) from usually.

Just a question, how should i suppos to know if the people in the channel are in the same server i am?
And how may i configure from which distance i want hear the players?

Marine94: what channel do you need created? there should be channels for majority of the popular servers, if a server does not have a channel just say which server we will make one.

I suggest this thread is being locked down and a new one is made. Hand pick some test players and only let them write about the process on this matter. This thread has become too crazy ;)

I have to thank mumble for fucking up my sound totally to where I had to format in order to fix it, Thanks mumble for being the best, user friendly, and not a fucking scam product that doesn't work.
