Healing and Field Dressings.
I suggest an overhaul of the system.
Right now you get 1 field dressing, an item that you use in by soldiers to stop the bleeding when you're shot.
In the game, it does not stop bleeding.
Couldn't we have it so the field dressing gives you 25% of whatever health you have left as it does now, but whenever you're bleeding out, it always gives you, and only gives you, just enough to stop the bleeding, unless you're below a certain percentage of health, whatever you get after being shot twice, maybe thrice.
That way it would still always be in your best interest to find a medic to heal you up, and the field dressing can do it's job.

meh u can use 3 dressing to stop the bleeding if u are in the "black and white" state. and plus, when u apply the dressing, it doesn't stop the bleeding immediately IRL. plus, irl, the bleeding would actually stop after a little if u were only shot once and because of the way BF2 is, it's bassicly impossible to duplicate it

Well, only half the time I get wounded 1 field dressing will heal me, So I guess it would be a 50% chance to heal you depending on how bad you are bleeding, be around your squad mates and they will lend you one, or there really should be a medic around to top you off or at least the SL who has 3 Fd's.

Field dressings are just there to keep you from dying until a medic can come and patch you up properly. They arent meant to always be the 100% fixer upper
Agree its frustrating, but getting shot sucks

It makes sense really.
1 shot needs 1 field dressing to stop bleeding. More, and you will need more field dressings.
Of course some of the weapons do too much damage for one dressing, but obviously the damage is too bad.
If your stomach gets blown open by a 50cal one little bit of cloth won't repair it.

Remember always make sure you have a field dressing before engaging a enemy already firing at you, engaging him/her after you have patch up your wound from that same person for revenge would be plain suicide. Remember! Vengence is bad! Escape will be a smart move
Unless you are in a situation that really needs firing back....thats a different story then.

Geeez, I tossed a bandage at his face, what more do you want? If his bloody paws can't hold onto it its not my problem.Dr2B Rudd wrote:I just wish the field dressing acted like a limted ammo first aid bag

It's more of a problem for the non-infantry roles, the infantry squads get a medic to heal them.
And snipers , for instance, get 3 of them, which means you can afford getting shot once, or if you're REALLY lucky, twice.
A Helicopter pilot escaping a crash is pretty much a dead man, you have to wait for evacuation by another helicopter, or a medic to make their way to you, and that can take a long time, and you only have 1 field dressing, and it's not enough to stabilize you so you can sit tight and wait for help.
Same problem applies to crewmen.

It would be quite nice, if you used a field dressing it would be on your leg/arm. Like as if being used, doubt you can but you did do what you did with the kits ( taking another person on the enemy teams kit)
