slowly :) Mostly waiting on more progress on the maps by rodrigoma and gx. Only then we really know we have a map to place the factions on besides a testmap. But they have many other great projects which they also work on. This will take it's time, but it will be done. Still need new modellers and a texture artist if there are still out there willing to help. Check designplan and website for more info. (check my signature)

This designplan would be easier to read, if you will divide it into 2 parts: FSA Kits Weapons Vehicles Misc. and SAA Kits Weapons Vehicles Misc. Because from what I see right now it is kinda disordered. BTW, have you checked my previous post about weaponary changes?
I am really looking forward to play this community mod.

I guess mineral is going for the very common weapons and not the ones which can be rarely seen...

there is no need for separate kit lists, cause we are only making the Syrian Army atm as a faction. We haven't discussed or decided yet what extra kits we will choose for the insurgents.

The design plan should be clear. all pages are for the Syrian army. Except for the vehicle page on which we already have some extra vehicles we would like for the insurgents.

And micro is right, sure there will be guys running with an m4,at4 or a F2000. But those are too rare to add. If we do add extra kits then they will be limited and will be to allow for different tactics for the insurgents. Such as a RPG29 for example.

Maybe have some of the more rare/noncommon Sryian rebel weapons as pickup kits? I have done some research and could put together a kit equipment outline based on the PR kits for speculation and a idea if people are cool with it. Seems like most of the weapons they use are ingame however, and the Syrian Free Army doesn't use many vehicles only a few I could research, T-55 -T-62 and T-72 then the BMP one.

What do you mean? Weapons listed by me are very common in FSA hands.
Only Exception can be Steyr AUG. Even for marksman rifle there is plenty of weapons like Scoped M16A1, Scoped M4, Scoped FAL, Scoped AUG, Tabuk, Scoped AKM, SVD with various other scopes than PSO-1.

Maybe very common, but not the most common.
Ak variants without any scopes and shit are the most common weapons in the fsa as far as i can tell.

But this does not mean that your info is not appreciated! :)

I can't remember if someone said they were working on a Syrian Faction or not but I saw this video pop up on Reddit and thought that if someone needed it, they could use it for references. It's combat footage from within Syria following, I think, the militia. There are casualties from a grenade so if you get queasy easy, don't watch.

You should also add model of M32 Grenade launcher for Free Syrian Army faction. I know it will be complex model, but definitely fun to use.

i saw a scar rifle too. What do ya think rhino? Main rifleman weapon? :D

just kidding here Rahman, but it's important to know that PR tries to show what an average force uses. For blufor this relativly easy, for insurgent forces it's more difficult. That's why we focus on what is most common. Not the ones that only some have due to export. I think my designplan of the syrian army right now shows that. Although it might change a bit, as the AK103 is seen much more these days.

And even if we do make some extra kits for the insurgents to pick up(cause for the 100rd time, we aren't making a new rebel faction), it will be only the weapon the most common. Like an rpg29.

Is the 29 really that common at all? Out of all those "snackbar" vids showing tanks blowing up that I have seen only a handful actually had an RPG 29 present in them, not to mention that an awful lot of the vids that people claim are being used dont even resemble the 29.

yes it is being quite often. Do I have numbers? no, but from the looks of quite a lot are in use. Specially since they are getting a lot of them from the defected military and captured bases. And it will offer a nice piece of balance for the insurgents. And since we have it developed it for the military it shouldn't be much work for an extra insurgent kit.
