These videos made me go back to playing PR recently. Really enojyable.

What I realized, he takes Arma Series MUCH more serious. He doesn't care much for PR.

I got blocked from commenting on his video's because I was stating my opinion on the ARMA 3 action menu... He flips out on stupid things.

I love his PR video's.

To those that are enjoying the PR footage I've been posting - glad to hear it! We've had a ton of fun in 1.0 lately, I only wish the deviation had been changed sooner. Better late than never!

PR has a learning curve. I've been playing since 05 and have taking two 1 year+ breaks due to real life commitments. I have never heard of or seen any of the videos posted by Dslyecxi. He seems like any other PR player. He starts like it's an arcade like shooter and adjusts to the game play accordingly. You guys need to lighten up and be more accommodating to the new players. How else to you expect to help build the PR player base if you keep being ****** bags. Dslyecxi if I may suggest try The TG server and let them know know that your are fairly new. That is by far and away one of the better servers for PR and always very accommodating to new players. Keep posting the videos and best of luck to you in your PR endeavors.

That's not an opinion. That's a suggestion. Prefacing it with "In my opinion..." doesn't make it an opinion any more than prefacing an insult with "No offense, but..." makes it not offensive. It's also not constructive. Why don't YOU go join Bohemia and script the action menu? In your case, probably because you are wholly unqualified and too young. In D's case, probably because he already has a job and they aren't hiring anyway.

Nowhere in your comments for the "First vs Third-Person in Arma (and DayZ)" video (which, by the way, is an example of a cogent, well-reasoned argument, not of "whining") do you mention the action menu.

The point here is that, at best, you are acting immaturely. At worst, you are committing libel.

Your sentiment about being welcoming to new players is a good one and something everyone in the community should always bear in mind. I appreciate your well-wishes also!

The notion that I am new to PR, however, is incorrect - please check my forum registration date as one example of how long I've been aware of the mod. Out of curiousity, I looked back to find the oldest shot of mine that I could recognize as being from an early PR version, and this is what I came back with:
November 14th, 2006.

I enjoyed PR for quite some time. I left it when it took a turn towards overly-large maps with sparse action and fairly ridiculous deviation systems. I am back because the deviation was fixed (this was the sole reason I was interested in trying out 1.0), and the increased playercount to 100 helps to mitigate the spread-out nature that used to dilute the experience too much for me. There are still some stinker maps that I'll avoid, but it's not as big of a problem as I remember it being.

My point is simply that I'm not some new dude to PR: I stopped playing it because I disagreed with where it went at some point prior to 1.0 (I forget the specific version that drove me away). 1.0 corrects significant aspects of that, so I'm playing it again. Congrats to the devs for the adjustments they've done to things like the deviation system, it's brought PR back into the mix for me and others!

An internet celebrity? Isn't that like being first place at the special Olympics? You guys have a far superior attitude towards people then I do. As far as I'm concerned he is just a guy that plays games like you and I.

You want a celebrity, let me tell you about my girlfriend. She treats blood\cancer disorders in children. AKA a hematology/Oncology pediatric specialist. A guy that records himself playing games = a guy playing games. The point of the two post I have made is.

1. Be nicer to the new members of the community. We were all newbies at one point in time.

2. Just because you have a following on youtube doesn't make you a celebrity. Hell all a celebrity is = A person that has a better job then we do. And the sooner you learn that the more productive member of society you will be.

In no way, shape, or form do I mean any disrespect towards anyone. I'm just offering a realistic view towards the world outside of PR. I'm just feed up with the elitism that some members of the community have towards new members. How else do you expect to have a vibrant and flourishing community if you aren't willing to educate and mentor new members of the community? PLEASE STOP BEING ELITIST AND START NURTURING NEW MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY. If you haven't realized at this point this is how you build a community. Then PR is far better off without you then it is with you.

Well thank you for introducing me to his channel. Just spent the last few hours watching most of his PR videos. Enjoyed them all! Have a feeling I'll be watching them when I'm not able to play over the next 4 months.
