I havent seen any of those squads yet really and I play quite often these past few months. I saw freekits squad a while ago yeah..
This thread is just for venting anymore and should be locked in my opinion... Every now and then somebody drops their "bad bad" story here and the thread lives on. No point for that in my opinion. Go and create a thread in tales of the front?
I dont see why a "bad" AAR is worth this spotlight thread with this shitty thread title even.
Maybe I am just sick of threads like this and the whining when my experience does not AT ALL correlate with whats posted here.
A few situations go wrong yes, so be it, but dont go and post here again so the "thread" lives on... No point in my opinion.
When ever I hop on I always see at least one squad like FREEKITS or such.
BUt most servers don't tolerate this. Usually those people that create those squads are 12 year olds. So don't be afraid to hear that squeaky voice.

Freekit squads just make me rage, might as well just have 8 less men on the field.

Yeah. I was on a few days ago and saw a squad labeled: "FREE SQUAD". They didn't stick together or communicate or anything. They all went their separate ways with Sniper kits, HAT's and whatever else they could grab.

Yes. But True is, it is very effective. I told about PR with my friend he is proffesional soldier many years. I asked him for example How many people is effective for defending building ... answer. One. How many is effective to Attack building. Answer. One. Why ? He said. If in building is lots of enemy, just blow building up. Well I tried it from that time many times. thats true. what was best how to conquer. one men outside. suppresive fire, Second one advance inside. And many times I was able get whole squad inside just alone. Opposite. I was alone (or last) in building and I got whole squad which went inside. Best is if this is possisble done coordinated by SQL. Many times I saw how squad walk close and was killed in few minutes by single LMG or sniper for long distance. Funny was I was kicked when I keep spread from squad and that spread was from my side very controled. And I saved squad back many times. in two classics situation. Flank (tunel view of squad) and if thay died and I revive tham. Anyway. Many squadleader think its lonewolfing but it isnt. I just keep 50 - 70 meter spread. If whole squad do that. We could be unbeatable.

That's not what happened though. It was like 1km spread. I don't mind when my Marksman provides overwatch, but what they were doing was definitely not some form of covering each other.

Was that on Saaremaa? If it was, then I am sorry. I wasn't in a squad and I'm used to people calling out contacts on local before engaging.

I don't get it though,
PR is teamwork.
Freekit isn't teamwork.
Honestly, those who make the squads deserve a nice KICK or TK.
(Most of the time, I usually see some one in a Free Kit squad that is SL, I tend to "accidently run over them". Cause my keyboard is glitchy you know...

Their stupidity break my keyboard and mouse; so my character stops moving and mouse drift toward them while left mouse clicks once in a while.

I'm sure that guy you ran over didn't think you were some moron "noob" who can't even drive. Isn't that kind of thing solidifying that this community is full of elitist jerks?
I don't kill noobs. You can sort of tell if they are new to the game.... Plus, it's not like I run over 40 of them in one game.
Once in a blu moon a lot of times.

Well how about posting some vintage footage occasionally that shows what gameplay in PR can be like if people work toegether, you know, like a platoon.
Also players whom come from a game like Arma or operation flashpoint have a good idea what they want a game to unfold like. Freshly fresh players used to being squeezed through corridors disguised as open maps dont know where up and down is in PR. What is needed is a tactics and procedures guide in addition to the manual.

Nice gameplay btw. Good find!
But I feel bad for new players. Since, there is no actual training map.
I always thought, the devs could have:
A 4km map that is a training map. You have to complete the training before you enter the online world.
(RO2 is like that)
Cause as a new player, it definently is a challenge. Since you have a clusterfuck usually on the carriers or such.

Pretty sure that's impossible to make happen due to BF2 limitations.

I learnt how to play by joining infantry squad and by listening to the squad leader

I hated America's Army because of having to do all that training **** before really playing the game. The "basic training" in AA is a lot harder than the real thing, and I took personal issue with the virtual medals/badges thing...
I think the only time I really just lost it was a few years ago on Basrah, we had been waiting awhile for air trans, and a bunch of people who couldn't speak English got right in the helicopter as soon as it landed, while we were getting shot the whole time and needed to fall back and recap another flag. So, they learned why officers carry sidearms, and we got our ride back.
I never had any other issues with new guys and actually enjoyed teaching them. I got wierded out by this one guy, probably from South America, who always finished speaking with "SIR...........OVER". But the guy woulda even proned out right under tank treads if I asked him to.

Hahaha, I remember a few players like that. But they played really darn good. And they did what I said.
I can name a few times, like what you said about the chopper...
It's completely dumb and rude when players/squads do that. Especially if you been waiting a long time 5+ min...
Happened on Ramiel to me and my mates a few weeks ago. We destroyed a Cache, and then called trans in. (Area was clear) The BH was landing on the roof of the t-building.... then another squad got in the chopper, right before we did. (We were on top floor, they were on roof apperently.) So, they pretty much stole our ride. And guess what? I think it cost us the game. it's unfortunate those players out there that do this type of thing.
Especially if they don't even speak english, or at least don't even communicate.

My squadleaders were in part Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I think one guy was with Fulgore in Afghanistan. What if the ratio of new players and seasoned players is not that great. Thats where a guide to give players a handle on how to play the game.

At least they haven't called you a terrorist and insulted your religion .I know that they don't mean it and they were only trolling and/or "joking and having fun" but it's still offensive .
