We've all debated the fuel problem for a vrey long time, and are still not decided. but its just, if we want to be realistic, something like an F-35 carrys at least 40 minutes of fuel, or about 12 minutes of afterburner fuel, implementing something that takes that long to run out is kinda pointless, barely anyone could keep afterburners on for 12 minutes, and not many people stay in the sky for 40 minutes, infact, most rounds dont last 40 minutes
yes, if you'd want to make it completely realistic fuel would last the entire round. but the round length isn't realistic either. ever seen a battle that was over in 15 min? i haven't. the point of having fuel in is to stop baseraping, which is even more unrealistic then having a very small fuel supply, for like 5 min.
I can imagine with this mod, the gameplay will be (much) slower than stock, so it might work.
Best thing to stop the baseraping is probably; slower resupply of ammo and that you actually have to land and stand still before it resupplies.
And slower respawn times might also help.
i think to stop base raping you just need bases with defenses, instead of just 1 stinger thing, put 2 on opposite sides of the base. give bases only 1 or 2 entrances so land vehicles are at a choke point when attacking or trying to base rape, and also throw in 2 TOW missle things. and for infantry have mounted machine guns pointed towards the entrance, no more base raping =)

No official SDK solo. I don't think its possible to make an SDK either... or it would take a very very long time.

The unofficial SDK was the MDK.

I believe SDK entails getting access to the source code of the program. (IE uncompiled version of bf2.exe) But I'm no real programmer, so don't quote me on that.

the SDK gives you all the unconpiled files and all the programs that Dice used to develop BF2... thats probably about $20,000 of software and a whole lot more in intellectual property, an MDK gives you as much access as you need to make a total conversion, we're happy with what we will get.

MurderDeathKill... Ah yes, those were the days. And yeah, if the tool is right for the job, there's no need to complain.

You can sprint while using a medic pack or reloading if you start before you hit sprint, something you may want to fix

Screw that, the fact that you have a magic bag that makes bullet wounds dissapeer (think indy saving his dad at the end of holy grail...) when you stand next to people is absurd enough...

how about bullet holes in fences when we shoot through them? trees that don't just sit there then you ram into them at mach 1 and a generally more interactive environment? the gunner in the tank needs to die when you shoot him! he is invincible i have put many sniper rounds into him that register as hitting the tank

the tank?

yes, the sniper rounds register as hitting the tnak instead of hte guy on the .50

my bad, didnt see where you wrote gunner, i thought you were trying to take out the guy actually driving the tank. hence my dumbfounded response.

I've shot the machine gunner in the tank several times, both with a sniper and regular rifle. Never had any problems with that. You got to remember that he can duck inside the vehicle to avoid getting shot, in which case you got to be a lot more precise.

true but sometimes the game is sketchy about hitting him, same thing for guys in DPVs the roll bars seem to have 4-6 inch force fields around them.

exactly, they messed up on vehicle mesh or something

yeah, most of the time all the small vehicles(DPV, FAV, Etc.) have some sort of invisible armor, I've put over 50 M249 LMG rounds in FAV's that are fully loaded, and dont even get one kill. Never really had a problem taking out Tank Gunners tough, usaully 1 M24 round to the head will drop him, or a 5-10 or so in him with other weapons depending on where u hit him.

i shot a guy in the face through the little slit in the vod turret, saw the dust that you see when you hit someone, and he killed me... then i unloaded 8-10 rounds with an m4 into the driver of a DPV and he still ran me over and a few other guys... way to go bf2

didnt you guys know that everything in bf2 just totally sucks.. i played the vanilla version for like 2 hours then i started modding it coz i couldnt handle hitting someone with 20 bullets while they still running up to me with a defibril and shock me to death...
