I'm against the CQC suicide **** 100%. Because you don't have the skill to face me in a tight space your just gonna blow up the room? Thats why I got out of vBF2, I'm looking for a real firefight, and hope to see like minded individuals rather than the average rocket launcher noob who just wants a kill.

They dont cost anything in PR so yea use em to your advantage whenever you can i reckon. I always use rockets as defensive weapons or to lob at emplaced positions.
Your sqaud should be using proper cover/suppresive fire/movements and spacing anyway.

How about an H-AT rocket fired into a bunker on mestia to clear it before you go in (from a distance)? I think that is perfectly fine. I wouldn´t use it in close quarters, and I wouldn´t waste it on only 1 or 2 lone infantry unless I really had to. :D

H-AT- Heavy Armour or APC's.
L-AT- Groups of infantry, Jeeps, Bunkers.

Actually, light anti tank weapons are used against APCs too.

On maps like Mestia, H-AT shouldn't even be available in the first place IMO.
Like on all maps that are focused on infantry battles. Too much malpractice.

I'm just sick of nubbery, when people run around with L-AT up to ensure them ONE easy kill....seen that a lot on Basrah (teh_nubville) and also seen people complain, that L-AT is limited in 0.6

L-aT and H-AT don't have splash damage anymore, I shot an RPG at a lone SF on 0.6 Basrah, he came out alive and intact, like nothing happened....
Yes, L-AT is used againts APCs, since you can't get H-AT any time, you need it...

Don't see this as a problem anymore. No-one uses L-AT anymore.

Because they have to request it, as well as the Grenadier kit...and seems, no one can be bothered to do that :p
Feels kinda nice, now that theres no more noob tubing instead of shooting...
But they still request Sniper and DMR kits all the time on a regular basis :?

Actually, on Mestia, both sides get armour (old, rusty APCs on one side, Warriors on the other), so I can understand H-AT being around. Besides, if you want the Eryx, you're going to have to spawn at the main base to get it.

That's true, but maybe 1 H-AT kit per team would be adequate.

I'm fine with AT rockets against infantry. What bugs me the most is when you fire an AT rocket at an APC, when it should kill everyone inside the APC with that one shot, only to have it do nothing.

The argument "I would use whatever resources i have on the battlefield" isnt a valid argument, because it doesnt happen in RL, and im guessing theres a pretty good reason as to why(mainly because you have an assault rifle or pistol to shoot people with).
A counter argument is usualy "well, they have shockpaddles and other things that arnt realistic in game". There are exceptions in the game, such as shock paddles and they are there for good reason. To make the game playable and not horridly passive to play, aswell as indorse teamplay. This AT from hip **** doesnt benift anyone except yourself and makes it a horridly boring experience, similar to bunny hopping.

Im kl with Insurgents pissing their AT into the wind, as its obvious that they do it RL.

I've been playing .6 for weeks (or over a month??)...I have only been noob tubed once. No one even runs around with rockets anymore because the engagement ranges are to far for anyone to noob tube you accurately. The H-AT still has its range but people are usually saving that up for the armor...and if you dont then the squad is going to be pissed next time a tank pins you down and your HAT is wasted. To me it seems the problem is non-existant anymore. With the extra teamwork that is .6 less and less people are being jackasses....and more and more are learning how to work together.

Absolutely Right. I love doing this on Muttrah (of course that's PR 0.5).

@ mongol: This is kinda cheap when used on individual people with no priority (priority is snipers/medics/engies if its an armor map) but if used on a chopper or something it's perfectly legit.

Aiding and abetting H-AT whores.

1) APC (yes, take that!)
2) RP's
3) Tanks
4) Bunched up hostiles
5) SL's
6) (More like tank priority in my book) - Medics

Nothing like a good medic to ruin your day. In my mind anyone who says "Corpsmann killed" is like music to my ears.

Michael Yon wrote a very interesting post about when he went along with British forces to mount a counter-ambush. They used Javelin ATs on infantry, at long range.

Post here. There's a video down the bottom of the Javelins firing.

If people here don't read Michael Yon, you should.

Not read the post, but I'm guessing his clanmates didn't stand about and graded the "liftoff" and "decent" of the hostiles to

9 - 9 -9,5 -9,5 -10 and then laugh like maniacs.

I feel a wee bit dirty just admitting it.
