I agree with Engineer but I would add that if you don't answer the questions, someone else will sooner or later.
I would be helpful if more of the vets would take 10 seconds to type out some info when questions are asked.
I'm sure I sound like a cocky pr*ck on VIOP but I tell people things there to and often enough someone in the squad wasn't aware of some detail and I just helped him out.
Sometimes they just don't know what questions to ask so we have to volunteer the info to improve the game for everyone.

Im sorry if I sound elitest but I can't stand people in any walk of life demanding something from others who have taken the time to learn. If you went to school and sat beside the smart kid and asked him the answer to all the questions on the test it would be ok because he should be obligated to help you!?

I know that isn't a great comparison but its the only one I could think of. I have no problems answering questions; questions that have been asked a hundred times before. My point is that people who feel that they should not have to read a manual or FAQ because the rest of the community should answer all their questions.

Maybe I'm reading to much into this but I absolutely hate people who expect others to cater to them because they lack the work ethic to help themselves. Again I think we should all help out the new players but the new players need to show some initiative.

I think I might be showing my age here "those damn teenagers are a bunch of slackers.."

I got fed up after the first 5 pages of nub bashing, and people saying 'read the Wiki'. You don't need to read the Wiki, you just need to load up, get into a squad with some vets and play. Follow orders and don't just walk around aimlessly. Don't be a nub basher, be a nub trainer. Learn to teach, not bash.

GL gents, and players alike.

It's like boot camp. You have to break down the noobs, and build them into PR fanatics. This requires lots of abuse.

Prejudiced maybe, racist ...never, unless n00b is a newly discovered sentient race.
It's a game, a great game, but still just a game.
People are going ever the top on both sides, the vets whinging about having to answer questions and the new player by expecting everything to be handed to them and crying like children when they don't get their way.
The more complex the game becomes the more we will have to answer questions but we don't have to cater to the lazy and shiftless who can't be bothered to learn how to play.
What do you think would be the reaction if a new person stepped onto a basketball court and asked how to play ? How to dribble how to shoot what is traveling what is a foul.....etc etc.. ?
What if that same person came up after the game and asked how to play ?
I bet the reactions would be quite different.
Every question I have ever seen posted on the forums was answered, in detail. Sometimes you need a manual to figure out what the answer means because we have people with all different skill sets in the community.
I don't think the mod has anything to worry about as far as new players go. There will always be new players and the patient tactical minded players will learn quickly and help everyone enjoy the game.

i do agree with every nice thing everyone has said in this thread. but what really bothers me is when people are like "WHY CANT I SEE THE TAGS FOR THE ENEMMMY!!" and like i cant believe people dont even understand the name of the mod they just downloaded. project REALITY!!!!!! im all about helping them understand how to play the game, but i cant believe i have to help so many people understand the CONCEPT of the game
