you didn't see quite some parts of the outpost so far anyways since it has a underground shelter (for sleeping, ammo storage etc)

Well, I don't know, I think western camps look a little more organized (not that this isn't) But more like.. how the romans made their fortress, you get what I mean?
It looks like this complex has a lot of strong and weak points, it's not evenly defended on all sides but ofcourse, it's well protected anyway.
It looks more like an Afghanic police outpost I think
but I like it anyway..
I don't know,.. it looks a little choatic but still realystic..

it's been quite a while so i think some new pics are in order.
recently done:
- extended the green zone along the rivers.
- added more compounds and agriculture.
- repainted almost the whole colortextures, but i'm still not happy.
- reworked the overgrowth/ undergrowth to get more variety.
- added an old russion occupation era mountain base (VERY WIP, so no pics yet), wich will - once captured - bring in the option to get some air-support (if so, then it will be very limited transport)
- added some more roads.
- lots of minor changes.
- thanks to dr.ranks' magic - the fog, the mountains and the undergrowth look way better now, so TY very much!
.. as you can see from some pics, i've got still some very crappy lightmaps, that will be adjusted when i don't make any serious changes to the terrain and objetcs layout anymore. strange thing though is that the pr objects seem to get decent lightmaps, while the vbf2 ones just go pitch black. i guess that's just a matter of lm settings but i didn't look into that too much yet.
i will have enough time for the project again as soon as i got my finals off the desk, so i'm planning to get the map to a stage where i can u/l a version to hopefully get some feedback.
that's it so far, enjoy the pics and just ignore the crappy lightmaps.
