thinked they were limited to 100 or not?
Think some guys here post the wrong config only to pose with there big pc´s.(Dont mean you, but some things that were written here i cant get... fakes or i have total wrong settings on my system)
If you have this config and this FPS Rate your suppression effect is less then a sec....

Yes, but for performance test i unlock fps limit. And yes, the suppression effect was about 1 sec. It was cool, but realy unfair.

I voted High
Not sure how to check my FPS, but they seem fine
I have my textures set at med though
I have question.
I asked this in another post of mine, but I feel it will been seen more here.
If only 16% of PR users are using low settings, is that number really great enough to hold the mod back from advancing graphically.
Lately I am finding post where dev's say "We could, It would be great; but low setting users couldn't handle it"
In no means am I trying to bully low settings users, nor am I doubting their devotion to PR.
it's just my opinion im putting out there.
I dont want to bring up topic of a new engine; but I recall hearing its a possibility.
Would these low settings users be able to continue onto one of the new engines?

I think most of the higher up staff will say that 16-17% of users on Low settings and hardcoding restricting where the game can go, people running that setting will not be forgotten as we come within only a few major builds from intended end target.
Only 15% of users globally have gaming systems capable of handling the top end games. Community is where it is at, not flash-in-yur-pants gaming that doesn't support the consumer, is open to piracy and maybe won't sell enough copies to justify expenditure.
This can be better understoodby reading the developers comments on Sins of a Solar Empire :
http://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/po ... tid=303512
The community is where it is at. PR wouldn't be what it is without the community supporting and helping with suggestions as to where the gameplay goes. The vast majority of top end games aren't that way inclined. It's like the film of a book, where the director and higher staff dictate from their viewpoint what you see visually, but not necessarily what, say, more than 15% of their viewership thought a scene looked like.

How the hell can you calculate what percentage of gamers use low? Most of those users won't even use online forums and a like, especailly as in depth ones as PR.
Also the majority of players not playing PR that could be attract to it are on the lower settings.
As things stand, people who play BF2 all on maximum graphics, have to play PR on medium. Trust me, making it so its more system demanding and so more people are on the minimum graphics settings, would mean more video card lag for hardcore players, which will turn medium graphic setting players away from the mod too.
You should always try and keep a mod to a close system demands as the game it is modded onto.
Move to another engine, then fair enough, requirements will change greatly.
As it is my pc struggles with PR at the moment, especailly foresty maps, make the game more scalable is always a possibility, so there is a higher then high setting that still works alongside the current lowest setting, the HL2 engine is a good example of this.
Need to find more monies for a new PC! Why is rent so much in the south of England!!
BTW my Laptop PC secifications -
AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3400+
2.19Ghz
1.00GB Ram

that's how polls work, we cant poll the hole PR gaming community, u poll a segment

293 votes so far is representative of those who care enough to read our forums and answer polls.
Admittedly it would be nice to get everyone, rather than 1 in 10 (approx?) but the numbers for low settings are already high enough to warrant keeping aiming the game at that level.

Percisely, the fact of the matter is, people who read these forums are the ones who are going to have higher settings, hell if I was younger, e.g. my parents bought me stuff, or older, e.g. in a couple of years when my pay sorts itself out. I would of got a new PC by now, just to play BF smoothly on high graphics and to render video quickly.
PR is already more demanding then anyting else on BF, when BF3 comes out, if you want to keep aiming higher with PR, it'd be worth moving to that engine, as those gamers with higher settings will move onto that game, and those who stay with BF2 will be less computer upgrading aware/worried.

Since I got my EVGA 8800GTS 512mb G92 last week (From a 7800GT) I play all settings on high at 1280 x 1024

My computer is :
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 3.0 GHz
8800GTS 320mb overclocked
2GB ram
fast WD harddrive etc.
I'd like to play everything on high, but as soon as i turn textures high, game goes choppy and stuttering. Cleaning cache dont help much, and soon as i turn textures to medium,i can play normally again..
This only happens in Project Reality. Vanila BF2 i can play maximum settings.
