Skins looks amazing!

I would suggest, to change the US flag for a Argentinian Flag..

Have you planned the kits, the Engineers? the SL.. ?

Becaause it would be FAL FAL and FAL..

Are you sure you looked at the right pictures? 'Cause the flag thingie seems already done ^^;

Anyway the camouflage looks awesome and pretty much ok. I do see the Argentinian flags there

One question... Do the Arg. Marines use mainly the M16A2 or the FN FAL? BTW...it'd be wise not to use the current M16A4s on use with the Project Reality's USMC because as far as I know the M16s used in the Argentine armed forces is the older A2 version.

Also.... how about using EuroForce's P-90 as main weapon for the special forces kit (Buzos Tacticos).
According to Wiki, in the article about the P-90 it says it's being used currently by the Tactical divers.

I'm just mentioning it out of pure fun.

Ehrm no i mean the Weapons for engineers etc..

We use the P90, but not in high numbers, we use it for "Special Missions".

The most common for "Buzos Tacticos" is the MP5. But i dont say the P90 is not used.. its used

Maybe the info i get from a Buzo Tactico form like 3 years ago, he said their main gun was the MP5.. and he said.. "For those who dont known.. its the 3-1 in CS".

As heavy machinegun, the most common is the Old but Fashion M60.

Our main battle tank, the TAM (Tanque Argentino Mediano) - Argentinian Medium Tank.

And the Tank destroyer "Patagon".

For the Airforce, Hueys, little number of Blackhawks, Mirage 2000C and Pucaras.

Not sure if we have the Super Etendard

I would personally love it, since the Falklands is a great landscape of rocks, meadows, and small villages and farms. It would be really fun.

I think the work you have done so far looks amazing, and I hope you get it done and that the dev's approve it.

It would be amusing to do a modern re-match, with the forces fighting, starting with Goose Green and making it's way to Stanley.

Stanley.. Puerto Argentino.. a never ending debate...

I like the Idea. But it's gonna be alot of work. First off the Argentinians will be a ***** to make, Counting voice acting, weapons, kits, and all. And Second. the interest you will need to garner from experienced community modders to help you.

The Argentinian Navy has some Super Etendars in service despite we don't have a carrier anymore. But they do still make some landings and take-off from the brazilian carriers. They did some touch and go's landings on a US Carrier some time ago like this pic shows:

As for Mirage2000... as far as I know we don't have anything newer than the Mirage III and the Mirage V. The 2000 is still being considered as well as a possible purchase of F-16s. I guess we'll have to wait a little while in order to be absolutely sure what fighter will replace the aging IIIs and Vs.

And yay for M60 for support infantry I want one.

i would suggest when skinning the heavy soldier, that you create a separate layer for the top half of the camo pattern. then rotate the top half so that when in-game, the camo pat is horizontal.

if you do this you will not get that awkward stretched out look on the legs or arms. *note: you do not need to do this for the us light soldier

i hope you can understand what im talkin about

Well, when i was on the military's exposition, a guy told me the Mirage 2000 is the "Best" Argentinian Aircraft..

Well, i really dont known much about the British Falkland army.. i mean, what rifle they used? The the one in PR? a old version of it? or other gun?

And whoever told you the AAF had Mirage 2000... had no idea. Trust me, M2000s and some F-16s are still under consideration for a possible purchase. So it's not yet an actual fact. We have to take into consideration that the argentinian economy even today can be very sensitive when it comes into investing in military equipments like aircrafts and ships.
I think that was the main reason why the last military dictatorship had sunk the country into an economical debacle... because they spent so much on military equipment.

But.... since this conflict is set in the near future I say "Why not?"
After all the AAF in this minimod needs some good aircraft to face against the Tornados and Eurofighters of the british. So I say that when it comes to putting fighters to the Argentinian Military, I vote for modelling a Mirage 2000 [Which could later be used by other future factions like for example the French Military (Not really sure if the guys that were working on it are still working on it ^^; )]. And perhaps a re-skin for the F-16 of the US Factions.

BTW.... one the key elements for this mini-mod is the voices. matias16739... Any plans soon for the voices?
I mean, if this mini-mod is to get its own forum here in PR it must have some key elements done so it's proved that this is an actual project and not a project that is going to eventually die (Sorry if I'm being a little rude ^^; ).
Anyway these elements are the skin of the soldiers (Which you have made a great progress so far), the standar rifle (M16A2 or FN FAL, I'm not sure which one will it be) and you'll need the voices. I think you will need three voices top. One voice will be of the average soldier, the second one is to represent the commander (But you can use the same voice actor since I don't think it'll play a major role) and last you will need a female voice (This one is for those messges mostly directed to the commander about the status of strtegical assets but I don't know if PR supports those voices. All I know is that the original BF2 did had some female voices for those situations.)

Well, we are making progress, i will like to say again that we are begginners, we have no experimented crew.

Our mapper is learning how to make maps without crashes, and we are making tests.



About the guns, we have decided to make the Argentinian Marines for now, they have the same rifle that the US Marines.

And the voices, we are waiting for volunteers so we can beggin to select the bests and make tests with it.

but dont worry, i believe that no one is more entusiastic with this development than me and my partners, we are working on it, we are sweatting it.

When I say words including the "R" letter like for example: "Oro" (Gold) I come up with something sounding like "Ogdo" XD And funny pasrt is that many confuce me with a french

The progress you've shown clerly looks like good progress Keep up and I'm sure you'll eventually get help from some devs or at least from more experimented modders.

Well, i believe that we have now some respectable skins.
I did change the camo pattern on the woodland uniform, it seems to be mush lest mirrored.
And i did the desert camo uniform.

However... I don't know what info you have about the desert pattern used by the Argentinian army.
Checking in wikipedia: List of camouflage patterns - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia you seem to be right but they also use the US 3-color Desert like these US soldiers:
The Regimiento de Infanteria de Montaña 22 (RIM-22/ 22nd Mountain Infantry Regiment) that is based near the City of San Juan (Where I'm living... YAY) uses both the US Woodland camo and the US 3-color Desert camo.
I'm not sure how wide the use of the Chocolate chip camo is in the Argentinian Army or the in the Navy Marines but I swear the use of the US 3-color Desert pattern is a SURE thing.

And yay! Finally we see a good model of the FAL.

But one thing.... The Argentine Navy's Marine Force doesn't use FN FALs... The Army does.
Also the Argentinian Marines don't use the TAM either. That's Army equipment.

We've been told already that this mini-mod is going after the Naval Infantry model. However... I don't rule out the possibility that Matias might be interested in working on the Army eventually.
The most important reason of why Matias and his small team are working on the Marines is because they use a lot of gear currently in game here (Except the M16A4s.... Matias.... you gotta see if you can get the M16A2 from previous versions).

Anyway it's good progress here.
