If you want to start in two weeks, well... I would say get geared for filming in 0.75, unless some unholy miracle occurs and 0.8 is released in the meantime.mp5punk wrote:...hopefully within the next few weeks because when school starts i cant play during the week as far as i know so lets try and speed things up here and if Okitas map's dont come out with in like 2 weeks we will finish the movie with project reality .75...
I think the main issue would be lighting and the occasional inconsistency with background. Kashan is overcast and extremely barren, as opposed to EJOD which is somewhat brighter/lighter in terms of colour. Also, the Little Birds and Black Hawks did play a major role in the battle, and they're not present on EJOD. As for the unfinished BHD map, well, IIRC it is mostly "finished" but is due in a future (hopefully 0.Pvt_Parts wrote:I was just wondering. Why just use one map for the movie? Kashan, the unfinished BHD map, and maybe even EJOD could be use for filming parts of the movie, yes? Kashan has the large base to use as the staging area.

I spent a little time running around some maps today, all of which have some (IMO) pros, and cons (one common con being they're all MEC army, and subsequently a lack of Technicals/AK-47s/Plainclothes militants):
KASHAN 64 TRAINING
PROS:
+ Lots of vehicles. All the ones that we'll need.
+ Lots of space.
+ "Shanty Town"s.
CONS:
- No built up urban areas.
- Barren landscape.
GULF OF OMAN 64
PROS:
+ Little Bird Transport
+ Coastline
+ Nice lighting
+ Some tall buildings.
CONS:
- No Humvees, Black Hawks, Attack Little Birds
- Not a lot of urban space to work with.
JABAL AL BURJ 64 TRAINING
PROS:
+ Black Hawks, Attack Little Birds
+ Urban area, suitable "Target Building"
CONS:
- Small urban area.
- No Transport Little Birds
- Attack Little Birds do not contain rocket pods.
- Poor lighting.
EJOD DESERT 64
PROS:
+ Nice, large urban area.
+ Good lighting
+ Urban area features variety of buildings
+ Space available for filming
CONS:
- No air vehicles of any sort.
That being said, just out of curiosity how difficult would it be to modify a map? Would it be more difficult to add vehicles and maybe an airstrip (EJOD) or add buildings/props and change lighting (Kashan 64)?
How about an older version of Al Bashrah ?Dojobear wrote: KASHAN 64 TRAINING
