You should have mentioned the medical suggestions given by me, then Tonka et al could have pinned the blame on my doorstep for the unrealistic EpiPen. It's karma! :D :p

You don't have to use the compressions either since it's just there to unstick people.
Also from the earlier posts I'm trained not use that kind of hand positioning anymore, having the compressing arm straight up and down and your other hand bracing its wrist is the way now. It does vary from different organisation though, red cross teaches this way here. The rate of compressions has gone up now too, it's 100-120 compressions per minute to get a persons heart rate up to atleast 100bpm.
I think this new stuff is much more realistic (yay epipen) and looks great too!

Serious question incoming...

what happens ingame if you perform CPR/inject adrenaline in to a live team-mate/enemy....?!

Imagine a puppy on Ecstacy and Heroin at the same time, then imagine that in a human, but with guns.

0.7 is vanilla if compared with 0.8 as I could see until now.

great effort! a suggestion if I may, make the medic have to do a series of say 3 chest compressions (also slightly slow down the compressions animation) with a gap of of a couple of seconds between each series of compressions, t& hen, administer the adrenaline shot? amybe speed up health restore from the magic bag of goodness due to the slower revive time?

The compressions are just to unstick the body ingame, afaik compressions should be slower ("elle the elephant packed her trunk...") but for its purpose ingame this will do fine imo.

Question is the breathing from the when using cpr the weapon fire noise or is it from the patient?

Cuz it would be mighty usefull to use CPR to check if someones still alive...

I'm not going to pin any blame on any dev's. It's understandable to include something on that. I've already stated my reasons about the EpiPen needing to be excluded or at least used as a different drug in a different step. I'd just hate to have the immerison of such a good update be ruined like that. I've always wanted to do full CPR on the people I revived in-game.

Also, I read someone's post about the CPR hand placement. I haven't ever heard of that sort of hand positioning, it sounds uncomfortable. And yes, chest compressions are supposed to be preformed quickly as it increases the chance of survival if done correctly.

You don't use CPR to check if someone is alive or not, unless they're faking it and you start pushing deep on their chest like that and they suddenly jump up hollering.

The real check during CPR is when you use a head tilt chin lift (Or jaw thrust if you suspect C-Spine injury..) and you check for Breathing (Lower hand, look at the person's chest. Look for rise and fall, breath on your ear, and sound) and a pulse at the artery in the neck.

Also, something I just found while flipping through my EMS Field Guide that I was given from a friend this morning, I found the doseages.

Epipen gives .3 - .5 mg.
1 mg is given when administered during CPR through IV.

The DEVs have the right idea with the EpiPen.

In the future, they found a way to administer high enough doses through injections safely.

Problem solved.

That's not an EpiPen. That's a different procedure. That's pure adrenline that's injected into, i think, the right atrium of the heart. That's used in hospitals only. That's also very dangerous if you don't know how to do it right. The most likely way to do it would be through the IV line.

Epinephrine still doesn't revive the person. An AED device is what does it. The chest compressions and rescue breathing simplely keeps the blood pumping because you're manually operating the heart and keeps tissue from dying. Now there are times where all you need is the chest compressions in the first place because the heart's electrical activity has messed the hearts rhythm up and all it needs is a good tap to reset it. That generally happens because of electric shock.
