well.....
As bad as this sounds, I dont even know what a UV map is, or how to make one (I can learn though), and for the textures I've been making them in 3ds max, as placeholders for now.
So if you guys can throw me some links to tuts for UV maps, and better ways for doing textures, would be most appreciated

if its for statics you need to use texture pallets and before you ask what or how they work i have no idea i have been trying to get Rhino to show me now for about 2months lol

you aint been trying very hard
but tonnie is right on the palettes, you can not be using soo many polys for your models and you cant be using unique textures for each model.

Yeah fair enough.
Would the best course of action be once the models are finalized, to send them off to you with a generic texture, and let you skin them?
Also, if I was to model a power pole, would I have to include the wires that would run between the poles as well, or are they added separately?

just remember if you make a transformer, think about making it destroyable, REALLY DESTROYABLE.... those things go of like bombs (ok small ones)

just remember hills should always be the perfect height so that the arm smashes you in the head, so maybe put a human model next to it for comparison.

will also need to teach you how to make proper wire too since that's the worst bit about your fence
