Hehe, but even in your blue tags, actively and openly supporting a blufor faction might get you in trouble, for all I know. We dont want that.

To me the devs have always been a little distant, sort of like a Master Joda. You cant see them when you play, but you know theyre pulling the strings.

Personally Ive been playing on avarage something like one gamematch every second night since I joined in 0.7
And I have no doubt I could think of a couple of different game-modes and assymetrical *** etc. I hope people from the community here can do the same, the more ideas the better.


Maybe it would be okay for people to:
Post suggestions for a new game mode/new and/or revolutionary setup of existing gamemode for the Danish armed forces (or whatever the english terminology is).

For organisatorial simplicity, one could post the suggestion in the Suggestions forum, and be kind enough to throw a link on this thread. All discussion of suggestions would then take place on their own threads, thereby allowing us to prevent general mayhem on this thread.

Any and every talent and suggestion can be of use if a danish faction is to ever come to life.

Or just make a design plan. As for discussing ideas, I strongly urge you to join the unofficial xfire group as we provide a subforum for your faction which you can use to showcase and discuss stuff about your faction

IIRC the Danish battle group is attached/under british command so having danish armor on british INS map would be realistic (as well as cool )

You are both correct. We support the british battlegroup in helmand. Turns out our Leo 2's have proved very effective and apparently saved a few brits.

Likewise we have brits attached to our patrols, mostly as a link for artillery, air support and monitoring ICOM I believe.

The idea of a combined / coalition force is something I have poked at several times in the past, but to no effect. I'm not so sure it is going to happen. But who knows what the future might bring.

well thats the beauty of having them only in armour, the only radio commrose they'll need is a vehicle on the way, need repairs etc, which could conceivably come via a joint task force communication center, so it won't matter that there's only one language on the team in the game files

Yeah I'll think about it and perhaps bounce the idea by a few of the other devs.

I would rather see a Scandinavian army then two countries that would have been the the best choice, sad the idea got ruined and only the norwegians got out of that project as a "supported" faction.

In 10 years I am sure there will be alot of cooperation between Sweden, Norway and Denmark when it comes to homefront defense.

Personally I would love to see a Scandinavian Faction. Also, I believe your right when it comes to how we three old Kingdoms will cooperate in the future, including the near future too. (I hope one day that Finland will be a part of it also.)

A Scandinavian Army would also provide much more equipment for modellers to design.

I know there a rumours amongst the military branches of scandinavia, that the politicians are going to form a "Scandinavic Battle Group" in regards to the wishes from the EU.

It has been suggested from the EU that the armed forces of its members should undergo a major transformation so that these newly formed "battle-groups" could be deployed to hot-spots around the world.

Much of the brass in Bruxells call the "battle-groups" Legions. Simply becuase the battlegroup concept is more or less based on an overseize legion. A small army that has all the support elements it needs and takes care of own logistics.

One of the most interesting parts of these talks, is how each battle-group whould have one commander, to make command less alien to the troops.

A battle-group is supposed to be division seize, which is why none of the scandinavian countries can make one by themselves, but together. . . .


This is supposed to be one of the steps to make EU less reliant of the US. Ofc this is still just talks, but the theoretical applications are pretty huge.

Norway, Sweden and Denmark are supposedly talking about making these changes around the EU but in a way so that they will have compability with the EU equivelants.
