For the millionth time, its a single seater helicopter, it would be totally against PR's vision of teamwork.

Theres actually 60, but yes, its miniscule when compared to the 400+ Hinds IRL.

And I would like to point to the fact, that Ka-50s have been used in December 2000 - January 2001 in Chechnya. Mi-24s are more popular of course, but Ka-50s are also in service and are used occasionally (there just wasn't a chance to properly use it).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ka-50 (added the reference there too).

So both Mi-24 Hind and Ka-50 (or Ka-52, if you really want the teamwork inside the vehicle) are a must for Russian Forces. And if Russian Forces engagements were not limited to fights with Chechen separatists, it would be cool, too. Try putting up a map where Russia would confront Chinese and MEC forces, for example. It would be fun, I think. :)

Thank you for all the information, i am now well informed on the KA helicopters. Arma must be silly then as they have a KA with a MG on the front. By shape i would say the first one is the alligator and the second one is the shark, because that what they look like, but guessing second one is the 2 seater?

I don't think the KA-50 would be a bad choice because it's a one seater, after all the UH-1 is a one seater, and both ground attack jets (excluding the Tornado and Su-34) and Air superiority jets are in-game and working fine and for the team most of the time.

However, it would be really, really difficult to get a one seated attack helicopter, where the pilot has to continue to fly level while using the rocket / missile / gun cam HUDs, meaning that it's use would either be restricted to unrealistic HUDs (which would also mean you couldn't fire the missiles without a lase), or it would be next to completely useless since it has no stabilization, and it's next to impossible to fly / gun at the same time without stabilization and the ability to look out your cockpit and at the TV screen at the same time.

That's why the Kamov 50 Black Shark can't be in game, not because it would bring increased team work.

If you think realistic.. do Alligator handle missiles in the same was as Black Shark:
You need to aim on the target, the missile cannot go right or left or even up and down.

Wouldn't that be kind of unrealistic if it one day just could.

but.. well, don't think Mi-24 got the hellfire function either. But it disturbs me..
