Good news ! The domain has been bought and the website and forum is currently being set up.

Also Rescue Rangers clan has very kindly offered free use of one of their game servers. You guys don't really need to express any interest in this thread anymore, as this server now be happening

You will be required to sign up on the servers website forum once it is set up though, so I will be posting the details asap

Note : The game server will be based in Germany, and I realise that isn't a great situation for N American players. The plan is eventually to have a server on both sides of the Atlantic, and there is a possibility of a US server also being offered free of use to get the idea started.

PS : To answer to some questions about the admining of the server. Admins will only issue 1 week suspensions to tards on the server. Weather or not they're banned will then be down to a poll forum by all members of the group. Admittedly there's potential problems with this, but there is also major benefits.

Unfortunately for myself, the server is located in Germany and I live in the United States. Which means until a server is set up closer to home, preferably in the United States, I will not be joining due to high ping issues.

Even so, I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully a server based in North America will be established quickly.

Yeah I understand Silly. Obviously If the server was only in the US, we would have the same problem the other way, and right now, those interested are pretty evenly split between NA and EU. I get just about acceptable ping to the US, but for the rest of Europe its a little too much I think.

Im hoping I can still arrange a US server, which would then mean that everyones happy

Progress is also going well on the website, but I need some sign ups to see if there's any bugs etc ( I'm hoping there wont be )

Until the site is officially launched, this should be seen as a test period, so threads maybe removed, there maybe bugs, and the website might be down at times while I add new features. The forum is pretty much complete apart from a few "toys" I want to add, plus banners, logos etc.

As some of you know Rescue Rangers Clan have very kindly offered use of one of their servers to get things going, so Im hopingthe server will be running sometime next week, and also the website should be completed then too.

PS. If you havent got an xfire account, I seriuosly suggest you sign up for one, and enter your xfire user name at registration, as Im hoping to integrate xfire into the site in many ways.

Reality Teamwork

It looks like the idea of a Mumble night is popular, so hopefully the Reality Teamwork Mumble server will be popular too. I played on the igi server earlier, where they're having the mumble night, and its been useful to see problems with it etc.

At first I had my mumble settings wrong, which allowed me to hear everybody on the mumble server - obviously this is open to abuse.

I think its important to have the two teams in different channels, and also have controls on the use of global chat. Some people have said it may be possible to auto assign players to mumble channels based on their teams, so this would definitely be a good thing to implement.

Reality Teamwork now has a mumble server set up, and Im hoping that the game server will be up in the next couple of days. The game server will probably be called:

Reality Teamwork Mumble Server

So look out for it on the server list!

Its not being launched officially just yet - this it will be more like a test run, and therefore the server wont be locked, and it wont have a compulsory mumble rule, until the server is more established.

There are no leaders in the Reality Teamwork Community - everything is decided by its members, including rules, map rotations, player bans etc. If you would like to join the community, then please sign up on the forum and give your suggestions/opinions :

( btw - RT isnt a clan! - Its a community server where anyone is welcome to join so they can enjoy teamwork in PR all the time )

I assume the donates will contribute to the hoster's payment?

Hackers have crashed alot of servers the recent weeks. If this goes online it would be their prized grail to achieve its downfall. How can we protect ourselves against that?

I find the idea extremely interesting. But I would have to see the server being full a few nights before i start shelling out money.

But i wont pay, not to be rude but i dont like that... still, is an awesome idea to have all players using Mics and Mumble.

Start with weekends (Saturday 19:00 gmt for example) that way everyone will get
there at the same time and fill the server up.Otherwise it will be impossible to keep
it running full 24/7.
