That's an engine limitation, unfortunately. The 'lase' is a sticky projectile that's 'shot' in the direction you're looking at. Due to BF2's physics the speed can't be faster than it is, or the projectile wouldn't stick/collide, and it can't be lasing constantly/toggled on or off since that'd probably cause projectile spam (more bandwith overhead).

I hate to ask this but is there going to be another Dev blog soon? Kind of being starved of 1.0 info.

The problem is that they're automatically targeted to US using our technology, if you want other target you gonna need to change/create the technology by yourself.

You think they are targeting the US.

Indeed, but to see it in game and what levels its in would be nice.

Actually its the Z-9, Z-9WA (Z-9W or WZ-9 is a quite a different version from the Z-9WA), AS 565 MB Panther & the HM-1 Pantera which was first announced almost 3 years ago now: https://www.realitymod.com/forum/f196-p ... birds.html
