Been in some squads with awesome squad-leaders, although my memory for names is horrific so I may get names slightly wrong:
-JoeThePro, great leading abilities, he made the best of a couple of bad situations in Muttrah city and was gernerally good at giving us precise orders and keeping the squad in order while still having fun.
-[TG-31st]TMAN, had great tactics and strategies, under his leadership our squad kicked *** on Fool's Road.
-iGi Medic-Ruddman(can never remember this name properly)- another good SL, had lots of fun in his squad.

Also had some really good members when I've been SLing. To name the few I can remember by name:
-[TG]A.Wickens, was really useful to the squad and didn't lonewolf at all despite my shoddy leading on parts of a game in Basrah.
-RedTrakor, really good medic to have in the team and really reliable.
-Grottim, really reliable and useful rifleman/multipurpose squadmember, a great asset to any SL
-Mr.47(TG I think), a good member who could be relied on and was top-notch at communicating contacts and other potential threats
-Reaper.151, Stuntmonkey, Borisio, Digital-Q and anyone who was in my inf voip squad during those battles yesterday whose name I have forgotten, for an overall co-operative squad over many rounds of play. Some notable moments were our single-squad defence of a hill objective in Mestia for a whole round under continual fire and grenading, including the occasional suicide Russian squad who tried to get up close and personal with us, as well as some rock-climbing activities in Korengal ;)

I'll add any names that come back to me, I feel really guilty that I've left out other excellent SMs that I just can't remember the name of.

Playing with these guys on Kozelsk on the "Fight along the Devs Night" was probably the best pr round in a long, long time.

The storming of the fb in the end will never be forgotten.

I started wondering about that too :p

I was in a squad with Digital-Q the other day, and what you experienced on Mestia sounded very much like what I experienced

I recommend the squad I just had the honor to serve with-

Server: Texasteamplayers
Map: Operation Archer
Side: USA
Squad: Sq1, ENGVOIP

EXCELLENT squadwork by the whole squad throughout the entire round. All effectively suppressed enemy, took up defensive positions and watches, moved together as a unit. Highlights were our initial insert by Huey which was ambushed from a high hill (which we survived through and dug in), and the assault of bottom-right cache.

That assault was EPIC. Our one distraction man, 6DT (sorry if I forgot the name), put his life in the way of danger popping up and firing off rounds in the air while the rest of us rushed the village from a different position. Buildings were cleared efficiently and quickly, with the cache being located within 2 minutes of the assault. We had the entire village cache area locked down and cleared within 5 minutes of the assault.

Now the most memorable moment of this battle was the end. We had one humvee just sitting outside the destroyed cache abandoned, so I took up the opportunity to stage some awesome squad photos FOR THIS PURPOSE SPECIFICALLY.

I almost cried when I went looking for the shots, as they all turned out completely black (some weird problem ive been having lately). We had all piled on the Humvee, were in awesome stances and everything....... :'(

Gets out of his transport chopper just to hold the Cobra for the Cobra squad, who didnt make it back to the chopper in time.
Awesome sportsmanship and teamwork imo.

Player name: SpaceCadet

Kit/viechle: Crewman/Pilot

Map and side: Kashan 32, MEC

Act of heroism/good conduct:

Yet another night of Pwnzer_faust with the G.

Space is a fine Crewman.
Commander and driver of any land-craft, soft and armoured, his quick and clever thinking keeps our tracks on track and out sights on target. Many times in the past, we have managed great things in the heat of battle; outnumber, outgunned but never outdone.

In the 20 mins before we Took to the skies, we had racked 10 kills and 0 deaths in a T-72s (not our greatest feat, but it was finely executed), consisting of 2x Inf squad, 1x Humvee, 1xBlackHawk, and 1/2 M1A2s.

Then, things begun.
We took to the skies in a Havoc, engaging out first Apache with comparratively swift success (our last single skirmish with an AH64, the day before lasted a full 5minutes of hard turns and poor hitdetection of hydras, but we were victorious).
We managed to destoy 1xAvenger AAV, 1xM1A2, 2xAH-64, 1xBH....An LB escaped out wrath.

Unfortunately, other duties called me away from the battle, but our damage was done.

Player name: Dukemeister

Kit/viechle: Rifleman Specialist

Map and side: Kozlek(?), Army of the Russian Federation

Act of heroism/good conduct:

11 confirmed, fatal shots were recorded from a certain two-man LRRP unit. However, the exact number of Chechen scum that were maimed by the hands of this duo is unknown.
The two kept themselves to strict ROE. If the kill was priority, if the kill was low risk, and if the kill was likely, then the kill was.

They would only allow two rounds to be fired, then the timer had begun. 45seconds and then relocate, 9seconds between each shot, aim for the top of the target.
As efficient as they were, these instances were rare. Large amounts of time were spent trecking, crawling, hunkering, climbing, hiding, observing, waiting, reporting.
Within a minute of arrival, all Chechen outposts, ambushes, pilboxes, bunkers, minefields and personel had been located and reported to HQ; shortly after added to nearby units network.

The main staple of engagement were infantry, yet straying crewman found themselves the target of choice. By sunset, the main Russian force had secured a BRDM, a Spandrel and a BTR-60 yet to be engaged in combat. Their crews lay in wait, bloodless in the shrubery near by.

This squad right here:

Really good round on .:iGi:. on Mestia as Chechens providing a roving defence of the eastern objective. Teamwork was very good, most used VOIP effectively and really showed the benefit of having 2 medics in the squad.

Absolutely pwned those ruskies :D

Woot, I'm there :p

But pretty much everyone I've ever played with who's had mumble on has always been a good team player. Probably mainly because atm mumble is a program mainly restricted to the forum goers that have such a love for the mod, and to get that same love for it you really have to enjoy it to it's fullest extend, which means working as a team. That's my opinion at least.
