Lets face it, the majority of the current PR playerbase wants to just quickly pew pew and they couldn't care less if they win or lose and learning some tactics for the heck of it? Don't be silly its all about pew pew these days and commander is there only a a whore to harvest markers and waste his time for others

One can still have a great time when playing commander at times, especially with PrWars guys

But this is talking about FORCING the SL to follow CO orders, not "where you may find people that do what the CO does".

And if we talk about a good experience, the only thing that comes to my mind is HOG, where you will find a mixed bag of non-english speakers and actual combat veterans using real tactics into the game with success.




now THAT i disagree on, there are several games you can get on if you just want some action, the people that get into PR get into PR because they know what they want, even if they are bad at it.

Obviously you play on our server alot? Who are you BTW?

I personally think MeRk is one of the better EU servers currently. The admin team is very efficient and the level of team play is more than acceptable.

I usually enjoy my time on MeRk.

After playing Commander on Kashan last night on HOG...

It's fine how it is. The squads and everyone were saying "I was one of the best commanders they seen".

But, I did stay in the UAV the entire round.... since they needed to find the enemy ****. (I was on the Canadians.)

But, only be commander if you are good at it.

How do you suggest people get good at something? I generally suggest practice, but according to your post they shouldn't practice because that would require going commander, but they shouldn't because they aren't yet good at it :razz:

coop is a good starting point imo, its where I started. Though, if I was told not to play a role because I was bad, I couldn't do anything :D

I've just 're read this thread and I like.

Vehicle drop once every 30 mins to free up stuck squads, unarmed trans only.

Helipad, little real use except very hilly or broken terrain but awesome for a rear or mortar base, maybe with heli repairs like jabal dam pad.

First aid tent works like a vehicle with medic present can restore health of X players simultaneously.

A vehicle repair point would be nice too.

More fun than a big game changer except the vehicle drop which on some maps would enable moribund squads to move somewhere useful.

These super FOBs would give COs a target and sneaky recon or snipers something to find to call area attack onto. But only on 4km AAS maps.

Hehehe yes. BTW, your guys Tank squad was funny. Tell them never to sit in the middle of the open, all bunched up. They got raped by 2 Bombs.

TBH, I would only want someone to be commander if they have a decent amount of squad leading experience, an INF squad and of course the asset squads. But, I have seen 1 day old players in PR do awesome as CO. But, the past few games I have played on.... the commander usually ******* at you if you don't do what they say....

This is a real example: "Squad 2, go attack the enemy tanks please!". Meanwhile, we had NO hat Kit, only the AT kit and breacher. Like, WTF. Then I think he reported me for not following orders.

I have to say though, as I tend to be commander if I am eating dinner or such.... I usually am in the UAV most of the time on 4k maps... unless the team is tards and not building fobs. But, I know commanders (RAWSWAMPFOX) that builds fobs and does an EXCELLENT job at being the CO.

I like being Commander, but it's stupid when people do not respond to simple questions, such as:
"Squad 3, what took you down?"
"Squad 6 where is the enemy tank now?"
"What kind of armor is on your position squad 1?"
"CAS, I have targets for you guys, are you ready to engage them?"

But, you have those games where the squad leader chat is constantly having voices in it. But it's enjoyable and music to my ears... since I know we have a team that is coordinating an assault or planning a great battle.

Well maybe a commander deploy only Repair only Station, bunkhouses?
Some new assets for the game is never bad.
