I meant in real life, if a soldier accidentally kills a civilian is it worse than killing one of his comrades?
this should effect the ticket/point reductions.

Is this gonna be coop-ish? I see it like this:

Its based on the coop mode with one team being al human (USMC/GB etc) and one team being human/bot (insurgents). All insurgents spawn as civilian (bots included) and can then pick up "insurgent kits" by request, limiting the insurgents to max the amount of human players on that team (wich btw should be fewer than on the opposing team although they togeter with the bots outnumber the opposing team). Also, insurgents and civilians should have the same skin. All insurgent classes should have 'stone' or whatever in their kits to blend in with civs. If possible (even though its probably not) remove the sprint button on insurgents and make it into a walk-button instead and make it 'always active' on bots (so we dont have running civs everywhere).

Or am I totally not getting this? :)

There are several coop-servers in vBF2. Why wouldnt one with limited kits for bots work? Or is it programming behaviour thats the problem (passive by default and agressive when attacked etc.)?

Ok, I have 10 questions about the insurgent civialian class?

1. Is the civilian class going to spawn where everyone else spawns or have you created a "Conveinent Store" for them to spawn out of?

2. As a civilain is one of the options in your kit a "prayer rug" that you can throw out and kneel on so you cannot be arrested?

3. Have you added any slurr's specific to the civilian class that we will here them yell at the US/Brits?
Example:........"Go home yankee dog"........"Allah Akbar"......"Dirka,Dirka,Dirka"........"Goat Jerky Two dollars"

4. Will the civilain class be wearing traditional arab garb, or will they be wearing "Chicago Bears 2006 Superbowl Champs" shirts and hats?

5. Will there be any female civilians? Or will that also be a kit option you could use a few times to avoid arrest? If so will they be running around making that god aweful "lalalalalalalalalalalalala" noise?

6. If you kill multiple civilains in could a commander have an option to give you a 1-2 minute additional spawn penalty if he deems your actions as intentional?

7. Will a civilain be able to conspire with the US/Brit forces? Or will you add a friendly conspiritor to the US/Brit forces in the future?? (could be intresting)

8. Will the civilain class have more sprint stamina?

9. If a civilain does not throw rocks will he be able to get arrested? Or can you lock him from getting arrested until he throws a rock? That way the US does not have probable cause and does not just arrest everybody.

10. What will they scream when I shoot them?

2006 was the correct year the Bears lost the Super Bowl......thats when the NFL ships all the useless premade Super Bowl loser stuff to the 3rd world nations...

Hmm.......I would have though with the whole focus on realism that they would be wearing Puma? Unless your talking about Chinese civilians then it makes sense....

Speaking of Chinese civilians if they are added I have 10 questions...

1. Will Chinese civilians know Kung-fu?

2. Will the Chinese civilianas be able to run across the tree tops?

3. Will the Chinese civilians be able to infiltrate US/British bases by offering to do there laundry?

4. Will they come in Yao-Ming size?

5. Will you be penalized more if you kill them while they are doing Tai-Chi?

6. Will they run realy slow with short choppy steps?

7. Will the yell things like,... "Go home GI"......"We no want you here"........"you die now Joe"........"you want young girl?"....

8. Will they be able to fish in the rivers to get health if there injured?

9. If you have female Chinese civilians will there feet be bound?

10. Since there communist will we be punished for killing them?

They should absolutely be able to pick up other kits. I have not been in combat but my understanding is that often a "civilian" will be running around unarmed, pop into a house, and come out spraying an AK or launching an RPG at you.
Giving them the ability to pickup kits will force the USMC to arrest them and also to watch them carefully thus adding to the realism, intensity, and skill required to play.

sounds fantastic, as long as the insurgents have a hope in hell (would have to map veyr carefully to balance giving insurgents a chance with realistic map layouts etc.)

however i think in a way it would be pretty even because no USMC could open fire without basically checking the person they've seen is actually armed

if you kill a civilian and the team who killed him gets ticket reduction as a penelty then wouldnt you have guys playing civians intentionally run into the middle of battle trying to get hit by enemy fire also if they pickup a kit on the ground there acuracy should be off drematicly and when spotting one the mini map color be if usmc arrests a civian what happens to him next what type of transportation will be available to them

I would play a civi and just run infront of the insurgents so they can win alot easier, get like 10 civis around a tank so a10 wont bomb it and if they do they hurt their team alot.

LOL!!! That might actually happen, I wouldn't be surprised. If we were able to (and I am not a coder) produce a radius around vehicles in which removes the penalty for killing them, then we wont have that problem. But I do foresee this as a big selfish, and childish act that will happen a lot.
