Yeah, but you are not a sniper covering your squad. You're a civilian with a rifle, not caring if you live or die, and you'll need a another civilian to give you more rounds.

Have you seen the size of a stripper clip, jesus I can fit more than 2 in my pocket. I just dont see any reason to limit it to 2 stripper clips.
QFT. This makes no sense. Not even an untrained civilian would carry ten rounds. Same goes for the SVD.

I'm interested in hearing about what happens when we as civilians get "captured". Do we "die"?

Well, didnt they just say, that you can knife a civilian?
Plus, Devs probably dont have the animation for handcuffs or such...

If I kicked everyone who doesn't wanna cooperate with the squad after I received SL because the 5 people in front of me decided they didn't want it, I'd be playing with myself, and there'd be another squad of 5 people who would constantly quit and rejoin, trying to hand over the responsibility to someone else.
Well then Squad Leading is not for you then,

If they dont follow your orders you have to kick them or the squad falls to bits. Its better to have 2 loyal squad members than 5 lonewolf members.

Yeah, and some will follow your orders, as long as they dont need to take the responsibility :P

I would assume so seeming as the knife is somewhat deadly.

So what your saying is promote teamwork unless you are the insurgents, then you are just an untrained civilian and shouldnt work together like an organized army.

I am a civilian with an m44 and a 91 and I have 500 rounds sitting in my closet for them. I have a ammo pack with 10 stripper clips in it on the butt stock of the m44.

With that few bullets for the sniper, will they be one shot one kill?

Heh. I don't mind squad leading. But sometimes, there isn't even 1 person who's doing what they should be doing.

iron sight bold action for insurgents?

Yeah, Civis are going to be better than I thought.

Civilian
The civilian is an unarmed combatant who is sympathetic to the insurgents cause. Their only offensive weapon is throwing stones they find off the ground. However they can aid the insurgents by providing medical aid, allowing them into their homes (grappling hook) and fixing their vehicles.

Kit

Entrenching Tool
Grappling_Hook
Binoculars
Stones
Wrench
Field Dressing x 12

I guess, the INS will need to elect a chief to direct and manage things.
Clans who use teamspeak while playing only on one side will do well.

Keep in mind the civis do not affect the flag orb.
If you get "captured" by a brit you will recieve a longer respawn timer.
The squad leader of the squad cannot be the civi right? Someone clarify this please.

What is the smallest type of weapon that can take down a civilian without the brits losing tickets for taking down a civi?
I believe 50 cals on a humvee should count as a brit penality. Everything bigger than that should be collateral damage.

__---

I'll attempt to answer my own questions about the CO support squad.

One engi
One rifleman
to get things going.

After that it depends on the environment and the circumstances on the ground. Most likely another engi will be needed to make things happen.

P.S. damn everyone to hell for not using the A.T. Personnel kits, now they and the claymores are gone. The CO support squad could could have used that kit and equipment when defending fire bases, AAA, and bunkers.

Some people are freaking out all the medic changes. My freak out is the lose of claymores. I guess .6 will be even more assault orintated and even less defensive seeing how a defensive piece of equipment has been 86.

Yeah okay, having commanders being able to place down bunkers and riflemen equipped with entrenching tools obviously means that things are becoming more assualt orientated.

i like the entrecement idea. so what you do is.

commander says * dig here* ( sounds like a pirate story XD) you dig and suddenly theres a bf2 bunker static or just a hole whit sandbags?

so at the start of a round your squad is digging. 2nd half assaulting. 3rd half bieng pussed back 4th half (brits only) drinking tea 5th half counter attack whit who knows what ill happen!

Well then, Your playing with the wrong ppl on the wrong server.
If you've got a mic which is a must when your a SL,
Tell your boys: C'mon fellas we need to stick together to win this, We need to work as a team or we've not got no chance.
You just can't win this game on your own, this is not vanilla!
(and say it nicely don't be agressive towards them)
Failing that kick all the ones who don't listen to you. If you need to kick everyone out of your squad then find a better server.
Or just except that your gonna have a bad round and hope you get some better squaddies next round.

Can anyone clarify the civilian? Can you shoot them, Capture them? I don't see anything about capturing them, who came up with that?
I guess we'll find out soon enough. WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!
