At 2008 I wrote in yt search "BF2 teamplay". Then I watched some PR footage which was enough to convince me to play this game forever.

It was during a long session of Wake Island 24/7 back in 2006/7. I heard some guys talking about it, so I looked it up. The rest is history.

Stumbled across Bluedrake one day.

Yotube...mainly Bluedrake42 videos.. I have been wanting to play ever since watching those videos..BUT I didn't want to pay for BF2..and back then there weren't that many people playing..so I didn't want to dish out the money for a game that I may or may not be able to play online with, but now with the stand alone...all bets are off.

A combination of MOD-DB and U-tewbe

Saw somebody mentioning PRbf2 going standalone on the Somethingawful.com forums, and made my way here post haste. Lo and behold my old account was still working! Checked my mail to see if the old password was there and i notice this board had sent me automated happy birthday mails for the last 5 years.

Was bored and was googling for tactical shooters.... Found a list which mentioned PR and a video of BD42.

I was sold.


P.S: Currently trying to learn the game, since I never played BF2.

I found out about Project Reality thorough Moddb.

A friend told me about it back in 2007, and so the adventure begun (or is it began?)

I don't have the slightest clue. Probably accidentally on Youtube.

i will share my tale .....

... played vanilla bf2 demo on modded maps inf only for 6 months i was addicted. Bought the retail game ....

"all these maps apart from gulf of oman are shit!!! and no one is modding them!"

looked for mods found PR .85 ish, i thought ow this is a great team game almost like a game of rugby where we all have to advance at once in order to hit any thing (lol deviation)

...smh remember when if you even saw one enemy guy you all screamed out his position, 180 deg! south! 100 metres! FIRE FIRE FIRE! thats the only way you had a good chance of killing....

slowly game got better until my laptop wudnt play it

EDIT: very first time i loaded up PR hated it so i took engineer, Mined the base closed 30 odd mines, good times with the remote C4 destroyed challenger tank, all 4 jeeps and IFV and logis, chat went wild with hatred.

I never ever meet anybody playing PR !

Watching dslyecxi YT channel saw a PR video as suggested, clicked, liked it, I saw a few more vids and though it looked a bit old'schoolish and couldn't resist, downloaded it and my first emotion was feeling a little sad about not knowing about the game sooner.

Friend told me about PR

I was playing BF1942. Had no internet back then. Friend had internet, played BF2 P.O.E all the time.
He always disliked PR. When i asked why he said:"too slow for me". Years later while drinking and talking about games and whatnot he "confessed" that SQ leader in PR yelled at him so he never touched it again.
