We have some really excellent rounds in the last week, mumble has taken PR to a higher level, the ability to quickly communicate and cordinate with another squad makes things so much better. We have also really been putting extra effort with the admining trying to make this TCC server the place to come to if you want a good game. I encourage you all to show up and prepare to defend yourselves.

See you on the battlefield

I've really enjoyed the server, great administering, awesome teamwork most of the time, and probably the most populated server with Mumble. Unfortunately, I've all too often seen one team with all the mumblers on it, and the other team mainly just pubbers without mumble. I'm not sure if this should be balanced at all, because it often makes for fairly one sided battles, though when you've got mumble yourself and are on the other team, it does give you a good sense of where they are when they're all using mumble :)

A quick question on a more server level with mumble. Can we have fairly stricter rules and guideines about when and where forced audio can be used, such as not before you're in game, and only between SLs maybe?

McLuv I'm glad you enjoy the server, but let me be real honest, there isnt much of a way we can force the balance issue. Hell there are still people who play who dont have mics! It would be nice, and mumble is free and available for all, if everybody had it but no way to make them. The same for stricter rules for mumble, its hard to enforce unless you just sit there and watch mumble constantly and if your admining on the server already then its a full time job as it is. I for one choose not to use mumble very often because I just dont want to hear the constant chatter about dumb **** or the person who wants to play music on it, when I play its mostly about buisness. Which is a shame since I do feel mumble can bring a much more realistic feel to the game. I will try to monitor it a little more.

I thought as much. It's probably just because mumble's so new, and it's only just being developed around pr, and the fact that there is no official Mumble etiquette that everyone follows. I don't think the teams are too unbalanced anymore towards mumblers, though, so that's not a problem.

I'll try and get a thread with mumble etiquette up to try and help out while it's still in development though.

The best rounds that I have had while using mumble has been when 2 or more squads on the SAME SIDE are using it. The SL's in their channel and the rest of us moving in proper form. I am not a big fan of having everyone (both sides) on the same mumble channel. I have found that the heckling and "forced center button" is used to distract and it takes away from the experience. Just my opinion. BTW, nice round last nite Jaymz, Spearhead, crazyasian, et. al. We were all on mumble on Op Barracuda (chinese side). I dont think the US got one chopper to land....lol

That being said, now that most people are getting the mumble set up properly, it seems to be utilized better. Everyone should use their in game voip if they get spread out to far instead of forced center especially when alot of people are in the channel.

We are currently experiencing severe problems with our Chicago network. Over the next day we will be moving customers to a new a faster network. For some of you your IP may change, and we are sorry for the change but it is needed to keep your gaming services top quality.

Hopefully this move will be finished shortly and TCombat Chicago will be back up and running!

i'd like to remind people of the rules in TCombat.

No baserape, except on insurgency.
Keep the text chat to a minimum as it is for squad cohiesion and strategy.
and no soloing armour

From the moment you enter the server, these rules, as prerequisites are 100% expected
There are admins on and watching, so if ever these rules are broken, dont be afraid to ask for an admin.

also, if you have been banned, you may appeal it on the Tcombat website forum http://tcc.tcombat.com/

We still have a couple PR servers
Where did all the TCombat players go? or are all these newservers alot better. We seemed to have a good following. Then it just died. Any feedback or suggestions would be great so we can figure out what we need to improve upon. We'd like to try to revive the server so any input you can give to us will help

It's all the new servers with the over-powered admins, and stupid rules. Which sucks because I miss the Teamwork of these servers like T&T, =TCC=, and at least TG is still populated most the time if that one dies so will my PR experience :(
