Do Not Underestimate the Power of Ironsight in Close Combat Fighting!

Ive no idea how irons could be better then a scope even walking through an alleyway or whatever. The irons has a greater fov but you dont use a scope walking down a street anyway, if you are that close to the target you'd be firing unscoped exactly the same as irons which I'd never use irons walking down a street.

Make a short video showing effective use of irons

What matters more then scope is rate of fire and the amount of recoil. You can even use a M14 up close because originally it was an automatic rifle, you just have to deal with the recoil and guessing where its firing.

I'll make a video of melee m14 kills and someone can prove me wrong with these iron sights being usefull, maybe in real life but not in bf2 imo

Wanna know why? Because the in-squad screw ups grab the sniper kits and use the pistols to take flags. =)

This is a problem with the players, not the kits.

I think the issue here isn't that there aren't too few scopes on the battlefield, it's that we find that to use a teamwork-essential kit like Medic, we must suffer a major disadvantage during firefights.

To tell you the truth, the only M16 with ironsights I've seen last is when the large brushfires broke out here in So. CA and we had to bring out the Nat'l Guard to block streets and prevent looting. Since then, most of the Marines I've met with carry a scoped M16 either with an ACOG or an M68 Reflex.

The solution? Add scoped rifles for the kits you always need in an infantry squad like Medic and Ammo... and Take/Keep away scopes from limited kits like L-AT, H-AT, AA, Grenadier, who already possess special kill abilities of their own. This way, it still balances out gameplay and doesn't hurt the all-important spawn-in kits that you need to keep a squad running.
