They are but the transall isnt. You can hear this plane miles away. I know what i talking about, this plane flys two times in a week over my house.

Don´t know how high you have to be, but trust me you will hear them.
Btw a airborne mission isnt a "real secret mission" what you mean is a maybe special forces mission.
On this kind of airborne operation the trans would not fly to high because then the paratroopers are a to easy target from their way to ground.
And even if, there would not be only one trans there would be maybe ten in one wave. And after they secured the the dropzone the choppers would come and bring the wiesels and other support.

You can see in this video how a bundeswehr airdrop would look like. It was a demonstration at the ILA 2008.
First the Paratroopers and choppers to secure the zone and then the big helicopters who bring the support vehicles like wiesel, mungo etc. and more support troops.

uhh heated debate alert.
Alright. Regular Paratroopers get the C-160 Transall or the Ch-53. The Trall flys 1500 meters high. The Ch-53 about 1000 meters (The Ch-53 flys over my head more then 2 times a week, from Rheine-Bentlage to Hammelburg and Schwarzenborn, what brings me to the next point. The Jägertruppe (0815 infantry), furthermore the Jägerregiment 1 Schwarzenborn is an air cavalry regiment, which is using hueys and blackhawkdown-style (jump out of helo and gtfo).
The KSK jumps out of everything. UH1D's, ch-53, trall. those guys can be freefaller, long range recon, regular parachutists and more. Trust me when I say that it doesn't matter for them if the Plane hears them or not.
In a Usual case; "nobody sees them coming, nobody recognizes what they've done and when they are away once, there is no hint that they've been here."

Just wanted to say that.

One of the most promising community mod-maps right now, making the German Army the faction I'm looking forward to the most. For once the forests look really natural and the sky fits perfectly.

Now, the thing I'm most interested in is this "alternative" way to simulate a paradrop without using any "ghey" static planes...

This alternative way are just spawnpoints in the sky :D

Nah, Rhino was talking about somthing "much cooler, funner and better for game play as well as much more realistic". If this is the awful "spawn in the sky"-solution I sure as hell will be disappointed.
